At the Magic Circle Convention last Sunday, I met Alex Kirk from Monster Magic who had a cool little wallet called the Flip Flap purse. Made of leather, it’s got lots of potential - here’s the link, and a little performance today using it….

Oh, that's a very neat idea if I'm properly interpreting the method. You have to be careful about how you store the purse, though...

Is there anything on the purse to let you know which way round you have it set up and how many coins does it hold ?

As an aside, you can use the wallet for CSB to avoid any “pocket work”…. Nice

As an update for anyone thinking of ordering this whilst it's a good bit of kit its on the small side and not suitable to be used with Brass Buttons or a Dollar size CSB set.

Regarding CSB, I’ve used my dollar CSB set I with the purse, but I’ve had it for a few weeks which has had time therefore to allow the leather to stretch accordingly.

I have tried it with Brass Buttons and Joe Porpers Poker Chip Surprise and it's just to tight a fit, this would have been perfect if it had been half Inch bigger but unfortunately it's just to small for larger coins in my opinion.

If anyone would like to learn the routine I posted regarding the copper/silver transpo, drop me a pm as I’ve sorted a little video - it will also show the Flip Flap wallet in more detail etc

Very nice. As always with your work - well routined and clearly explained.
I was right about the mechanism, and now seeing it in action I'm definitely going to pick one of these up. |

I hadn't heard about the purse until Sean mentioned it here. Based on his review I bought one. Then Sean kindly share his video with ideas on how to use it and the workings of his C/S routine.
Sean's thinking is simply brilliant. He shares a few ideas on how to handle the purse and use it as a hold out. He has a knack for smart routining. Thanks Sean! |

Thanks for the kind comments. I better say that I don’t receive any payments etc for promoting this product - I just think it’s a great little wallet!

I too wish to endorse Sean for sharing a really neat and baffling routine using the purse. The instant re-set is brilliant. Like Sean, mine has worn in and become supple. However, because of its size it may prove difficult to use with something like Brass Buttons.
