Hello dear friends of gaff coins,
I am fascinated by Silveredge (Kim Anderson) and am looking for a super strong magnetic Walking Liberty.
I would also be happy with a good replica in the meantime.
I tried the ones from China (30.5mm year "1944") as they seemed good at first glance, but they are way too thick and poorly glued together.
Who offers the strongest magnetic WL? Does anyone have some advice?

Maybe here from Kreis Magic: https://www.pegani.dk/en/coin-magic/supe......f-dollar

It says "In stock" and since you are in Germany shipping cost is reasonable.

Oliver Magic's Mighty Power Coins are very strong and look good. Comes with two mag coins and two normal (all replicas). They're put together more like a Scotch and Soda with some glue. I know because I had to take mine apart so the heads/tails orientation was correct.
They're thicker than normal coins but I'd say no thicker then a coin with a shell on it.

What's the concern with thickness? If you only use the coins from the set they'll all look the same.

Thanks, but Kreis only sells Kennedy-Halfs as far as I can see. I have not been able to find a Walking Liberty.

I didn't buy the set, but only two coins, so they look rather strange between the normal coins. Especially with shell.
A complete set would look more consistent, but wouldn't fit in my Okito/Boston boxes. I was hoping that this combination could also make some nice ideas possible. My copper and C/S would also blend in better. That's why I would actually prefer thinner coins.
At least now I know that Oliver Magic's coins don't seem to be the same as the ones I have. Thanks for the reply, I will think about it.

I know at one time Jamie Schoolcraft was making WL magnetics in a couple of different strengths.

I suppose the emphasis is on “was”. I couldn't find any magnetic coins on Jamie's website. If I understood correctly, he only does “flash-sales” with already produced coins.

WAlking Liberty coins are too thin to add a super strong magnet. I did have a few years ago.
Ihey were too difficult to make.

If that's your concern, they're quite cheap (replicas), so it would be relatively inexpensive to add in a shell set which would give you a matching shell and extra coins. A C/S, too.
But no, they likely won't match your existing coins because they're not the same metal. I haven't tried them in an Okito box, which is a fair question, but they're not hugely thicker, it just looks more so from the images.

Silver Edge coins (left) vs Mighty Power coins (right)

Of course Silver Edge also comes with Kim Andersen's ideas and handlings.

Thanks for your responses. My box can't hold 4 tiger tans with shell and they are thinner than the replicas.
I was actually hoping someone knew a source for silver coins that would work with the Silver Edge handling.
At least I now know that these don't seem to exist. As said here Oliver Magic is not particularly expensive and three coins and an Okitobox is already something.

I second Inigo's recommendation of Mighty Power. Very strong, virtually identical to the real thing. BUT... beware of practicing with these over a hard floor: I dropped one on my kitchen floor and it came apart, breaking the magnet inside. (And I only dropped it from a table-top, about 3.5 feet!) Fortunately, I was able to procure a replacement.

I picked up Olivers Mighty Power Coin from ebay, the link to the instructions does not work. Does anyone have the link? I can provide the link that was in the package to you if need be.

I'd have to go digging to find mine. Are you 100% sure you didn't mistype it, of confuse an L, I, 1 for one of the others?

I just watched the link about a week ago, and it worked fine.
