Has anyone tried any of their gaff coins? I've never heard of them, but they're on Penguin. 40 bucks for CSB, same price as Sterling but the copper coin is an Australian penny.
I can't find anything about them on line and Penguin products have zero reviews. I might take a chance on one to check it out, but was wondering if anyone else had. Here's a link to the CSB set: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/19268 |

Interesting, I have never heard of this brand. Hopefully someone who has knowledge of this set can let us know of the quality.

The Chinese coin looks like Sterling’s.

I guess I'll take one for the team and order one. I need a new set anyway.
I'll report back after I get it. |

The description doesn't match the image. Says Mexican Centavo.

Yes I noticed that last night. I haven't ordered yet. Good eye. Might have to message Penguin.

Penguin sales got back to me and only answered the coin question. It should be a centavo.
As to who Finnegan magic is, and I asked them because I can find nothing about them online; no clue, they didn't even mention that in the reply. I wonder if it's just a rebranded Sterling set? |

If it's not an Australian penny as in the picture, then I question whether the image of the Chinese coin matches.
For the price, I wouldn't expect great quality. But if you decide to try it, take some photos and share a review with us! |
