Came across this trick for sale on Ebay. I haven’t even seen something like this in any of my books. Don’t know if a missed something or this might be an original idea.
It was just labeled “ vintage magic trick” with no details on the trick. I reached out to the seller, but no one has gotten back to me yet. Here is the image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ssYWpEQ......drivesdk Thanks, Jonah |

It looks suspiciously like the frame part of Fantastic Frame and Caddy. The frame is opened to reveal silks tied to the bar (in this case tassels), then the silks are removed and vanished in the caddy only to appear back in the frame again. The effect is in the books, but I can't remember which ones! Probably Encyclopedia of Silk Magic or maybe Tarbell or even Greater Magic?

Since the door is plywood, I would say homemade.

Thanks for helping me guys! I was able to get some information about the prop from the seller, but they didn’t seem to know where it came from, other than the fact that they picked it up years ago from a sale of some kind. It probably is a homemade, or at least a home repaired prop.
Thanks again for the help! Jonah |
