Hi everyone, just joined up to discuss and learn more about magic. I've just started my magic journey and have been focussing primarily on card tricks so far. I have only performed tricks for my family (mainly my kids) but have been enjoying learning the basic techniques. I've been a fan of magic for as long as I can remember (I grew up watching Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee on UK telly as a kid) and have always loved being baffled by tricks and illusions. I'm a fan of Penn and Teller of course, and I absolutely love Piff (who seems to have the same exact sense of humour as I do, maybe it's a South London thing). Looking forward to joining in the forum going forward.

It's awesome to see someone new diving into the magic pool.

Card tricks are a fantastic starting point.

Performing for your family, especially the kids, is like doing stand-up for a room full of drunk hecklers.

But hey, if you can impress them, you're halfway to Vegas!

Plus, the reaction of kids are priceless, it's like watching someone discover Wi-Fi for the first time.

I'm also a fan of Penn and Teller, they are like the Batman and Robin of magic, except with less spandex. (that's a shame, really)
