For my parlor shows, I usually work out of an aluminum briefcase like THIS that sits on top of a keyboard stand. I'd like to build a curtain that can be quickly attached to the briefcase on the front and sides. I want to hang a ditch bag under the case, and the curtain will also help hide this for aesthetic purposes. I know I can just attach the curtain to the keyboard stand under the case, but I'd like a cleaner look of the curtain coming to the top edge of the case when it is sitting on the stand if possible. I'm thinking of attaching it to the case right under the "lid" of the case, just so the whole curtain doesn't have to lift every time I open it.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach the curtain to the case. There are very few magnetic components on the case, and I have a few DIY electronics built into the case walls, so I prefer not to use magnets. Any ideas? I can modify the case if needed. I have a small workshop with basic tools, and I can sew my own curtain/cloth, I just don't have the knowledge of how to attach them together. If any of you use a similar set-up with a curtain, or know how they could be attached, I would appreciate advice, photos, ideas, etc..

Otherwise, I may just have to build a Rolon style case. I just hate having the thought of the extra bulk/weight.

Velcro strips?

I hadn't considered velcro, that's a good idea. I suppose I could attach the velcro to the case with a few rivets, since I don't trust adhesive to last in a hot car for too long.

There are some good glues out there nowadays. Maybe take a look at something like E6000 Plus All-Weather Adhesive

Get the Velcro with the glue already attached. You just tear off the strip to expose the glue on the Velcro
. Do not use the glue type to sew on as it will not work on a sewing machine. You will have to get both types and use one for the case (preferably the rough type with the glue on the case). The other loop Velcro (soft Velcro ) on the sewing machine to attach the drape. Should be no problem holding your ditch bag.

You could also use dress snaps. Glue the male side to your case and either glue or sew the female side to your drape. One snap on each corner of your case should be sufficient. I've used this method on some of my stage side tables.
