When I was a lad, somebody gave me The Boys Book of Magic which I learned quite a lot from but my life took a meandering route in and out of aircraft maintenance, graphic design, filmmaking, and numerous short lived career diversions and I left the magic behind. Having been recommended a Lloyd Barnes video on YouTube for no apparent reason a couple of months ago, I find myself dabbling again in my retirement. Not only that, but also that most of what I learned from The Boys Book of Magic is still fundamental to performance.
Anyway, I only intend to entertain grandchildren and occasional party guests but hope to find a bit of advice and maybe even pass some on. Click here to view attached image. |

Yes, Classic are GREAT. I learned Magic and Ventriloquism from a Book titled "Fun for Boys" Pub. 1943, read it at age 12 (1949) - now at 87 still do Vent.(and a little Magic). Made the puppets in Profile photo. <> 'flame' fill your 'profile a little more to know you better. BEST TO ALL. Ralph ROUSSEAU

Not sure what to put in my profile - I don't really do social media and stopped running websites about ten years ago and they were not really relevant anyway.
There are a lot of sub-forums - I had wanted to ask where I might get certain stationery type supplies but scanning through the headings, I did not spot anything appropriate and don't want to start out committing the faux pas of posting in the wrong place so any suggestions where I should post, please? |

Scan the forums see whats -what- who- how -- look at other profiles - see what they include. Welcome and have fun.
