I have spent hours online looking for a certain size of coin style, i.e. not letter style, envelopes around A7/C7 size which is about 11cm x 8cm or about 4.25ins x 3.25ins. I found some on Amazon US but they won't ship to the UK.

I'd have thought that these would be readily available given the number of times I have seen them in magicians' videos but apart from the Amazon ones above can't find any. If anybody can help, I'd be grateful.

Thank you very much for your reply. They might have done the job but I resorted to buying some black card and trying to make my own - if I fail, I'll know where to go.

Thanks again.

I purchased these from Prop Dog and had them shipped to the US. I'm sure they would deliver to the UK! But, these seem to be the envelopes used quite regularly with many effects, particularly those from Alakazam.

Thanks for the tip but I was actually looking for coin style envelopes which open on the short edge without a V. I have been making my own - a template I bought (see earlier post) turned out to be too small. I created an outline in Adobe Illustrator but it isn't visible when I tried printing onto black paper so it's a bit of a hassle but I have managed it.
