Does anyone here have information on this entertainer. I've read he was an MC, Ventriloquist, and a Mentalist. Was he all of these? Smile I do know that he worked at Jack Ruby's club the week of JFK's assassination. I did find this... https://themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopi......orum=196

Bill’s manipulation skills were amazing. He was truly a gifted ventriloquist. More importantly, he was a sharing, caring man who helped many of us improve our skills through his words of wisdom. I’ll always cherish our conversations and emails.
Bill consented to be interviewed as a part of the Ventriloquist Script Writing Course. I often heard from students who questioned the value of his interview

Looks like he passed away.

Here's what I found with an online search:

Bill DeMar (sometimes spelled DeMarr) was a notable American entertainer who worked as a ventriloquist, mentalist, and performer. He gained particular attention due to his connection to historical events surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963[2][3][4].

DeMar, whose real name was William Crowe, was performing as a mentalist at the Carousel Club in Dallas, Texas, which was owned by Jack Ruby[2][3]. This connection became significant because Jack Ruby later shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of President Kennedy[4].

In the weeks leading up to the assassination, DeMar was working at Ruby's club[4]. This led to him being investigated by the Warren Commission, which was tasked with examining the circumstances surrounding Kennedy's assassination[4].

Beyond his inadvertent connection to these historical events, DeMar was primarily known for his skills as a ventriloquist and mentalist. He was respected in the entertainment community for his talents and his willingness to share his knowledge with others in the field of ventriloquism[5].

DeMar passed away on February 11, 2015, leaving behind a legacy that encompassed both his professional achievements in entertainment and his unique place in American history[5].
