Can’t believe there’s not been a post about this yet.

John Graham made quite a stir with Stage by Stage. His multiple selection act “Encore” is great as well. Now comes a full act with a borrowed shuffled deck that includes 7 classic routines. You can read my full take on it here

I also wondered why there was no talk about it.

We recently added it to the store (after watching the show, of course!)

We also included a list of the effects on the show that was not available in the original copy.

I attended John's lecture in Philadelphia yesterday and had the privilege of sitting at the table while he ran through the entire Afterglow act. A gorgeous, simple, hard-hitting 20 minutes of magic from my borrowed shuffled deck! I have more card and close-up material in books than I will ever be able to actually get through... but his lecture, and his thinking behind how Afterglow is structured, will help me (and anyone else looking at the massive amount of material we actually own) when wondering, "how the heck would I actually structure this?"

If you are not a card guy this book will give you 20 minutes of well-structured and achievable magic that can be done with a totally borrowed deck. I can think of just a few situations where that could be helpful haha... I am instantly intimidated by almost any card trick I see, but after seeing John teach his handlings, while practice is obviously always required (and how smoothly this act can flow warrants that the time be spent!), there is nothing that should scare away those like me who are sometimes overly afraid of busting knuckles. And, even if you are someone who can already borrow a deck and fill large amounts of time with the impromptu card stuff you know...seeing how John thought through each phase of the act - the "why" of each phase, and how, with clever thinking, you can use the tricks you are performing to set you 3 steps ahead for your next phases - is worth the price of admission!

It is out of stock at all the big retailers that I’ve seen, but I’m almost sure it will be reprinted sooner rather than later. It looks like it’s still available directly through John on his website (if you google John Graham mentalist), but I think he only ships within the US.

Thanks, Josh.
I saw Jeff Kolwalk's mentioning that it was due to the fire at the VI warehouse, it's uncertain when it will be available again.
