Any ideas on using Mr. Glove in a magic show? Currently, I am using the TT and yellow silk and a Rising Wand.

Yes, a streamer is better. I have done Mr Gloves for a couple of parties for young children, and he has gone over well. I would like to do a small show with him.

I sometimes have an issue getting the silk out of the TT (due to the gloved hand), so I bought some tweezers.

I just ordered mine.
I am thinking about using a Disecto and he has grandeur ideas of being like Houdini. (Or you could go dark and he doesn't want to be put into it) Quick wrist shackle escape could play off this theme as well. A card duck as his pet and then do the effect.
All small town magicians know what 793.8 signifies.

Is there a replacement secret device that can be purchased separately as this one wears?
Magically,

The glasses can be replaced with a cheap little packet of "finger eyes" bought on Amazon or wherever. I made my own replacement with googley eyes you can buy at any craft store, and glued them onto a red fuzzy pipe cleaner (the kind at craft stores used by kids for decorative projects) - I glued the back of the eyes onto the pipe cleaner and sort of made a double looped circle with the pipe cleaner to slip my finger into. It works OK, though I think I'm going try another method or just buy the finger eyes. I may add a mustache, though it might be cuter with keeping it simple.
I did it strolling only so far, not in a show yet. I haven't tried the silk disappear thing with the thumbtip, it was a little awkward for me and kids have eagle eyes and notice everything if you aren't very careful every time. I instead did the stiff rope, and the B&W silk that turns into a little plastic panda, and I'll also try floating match, simple stuff like that.

Well, I have done it maybe 10 times. I think a regular TT on the other hand is better than the one provided. I do a TT streamer, a chickpan, and a wand and silver scepter routine. He comes and goes in a change bag.
I ordered some gloves off Amazon because I know these will wear out. I also ordered some googly eyes which I like better. As for replacing the TT, I made some to see, and they can be made with spray adhesive. |
