I want to do a routine where I produce small candies at the end, like Skittles, M&M’s, Reese’s Pieces, etc. I want the candy either to be produced from something seemingly empty, or transformed from something else. For example: I have tried Sansmind’s Deck to Anything, and Gum to Anything. Deck to Anything was a joke. The gimmick has to be assembled, and part of it was a small piece of cardboard that had to be folded in two places. Usually, when you buy something where cardboard has to be folded, a crease is made by the manufacturer at the fold lines to facilitate folding efficiently and in the right places. But this little piece of cardboard didn’t have creases; it had perforations. We all know what happens when you fold cardboard at a perforation. To make matters worse, I mistakenly folded it the wrong way. I folded it back and then the right way. This meant back and forth at the perforations. Need I say more? The piece separated into 3 pieces, and I was done before I did a single performance. Then I tried Gum to Anything. Construction is better, but it didn’t look real. So now I’m on the hunt for a gimmick of some sort that starts out either empty or with something, and then magically produce a large handful of candies. Any suggestions?

It really depends on where you are performing, close up, stage, parlor, yet the easiest way I can think of to produce or transform (while being surrounded) is a Devils Hank.

For more than 65 years I have ditched, loaded and swapped items of all sizes from by belt/pants top.
It is easy to make pouches or container to fit any need, but simply putting on second pair of boxer shorts over your shirt forms pockets on each side of the buckle. I have many effects with 4" linking rings that use swaps. Candy packets should be easy. The key is having many natural hand motions go near your belt during a routine. When one hand extends outward, the other naturally retracts to be near the belt (Sway Reverse Methods)
