If a billiard ball will fit into a TCC leather chop cup? I'm having a hard time finding this info anywhere.
Thank you, Levi |

"Regulation" billiard balls come in a number of sizes. You can get them in 2", 2 1/8" and 2 1/4". Why don't you send an email to the folks at TCC and ask them what diameter ball, their chop cup will hold. They usually respond overnight.

Thank you Bill. I needed? wanted? a new cup so I gambled and just got the TCC leather anyway. I'll report back on whether it will hold the 2 1/4 inch billiard balls I have here at home.
If not there are plenty of spheres, balls and fruits or vegetables to add to the routine. I do hope the billiards fit though. Thank you again |

If they don't fit, let me know. You can contact me via my profile. I have been using 2 1/8" billiard balls for my final loads for about 45 years now. I found a source in Australia on eBay a while back.
Usually snooker balls are about 2 1/8". EDIT:: I just noticed some 2 1/16" snooker balls on eBay from a US source.

2 1/4 inch billiard balls fit very nicely. I've always used metal chop cups in the past so having the flexible leather is a great touch. It's practically silent and the ball can be squeezed. Seems like a great upgrade.
Edit: upon further review, it turns out I have 2 different size billiard balls. The 2 1/8 fits easily. A 2 1/4 is actually pretty snug. I believe I can make it work though. |
