David Copperfield is known for many great things, from walking through walls, escaping
Alcatraz, to supermodels. But one thing he isn't famous for is keepin house, this has put him at odds with his condo's board: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world......337.html Apparently he moved out in 2018, leaving his 7+ million dollar apartment unserviced. The condo folks are claiming multiple water leaks including one in 2023 leading to 3 million in damage. This is an ongoing legal matter, and David seems to believe he is not responsible for the damages, the total he is being sued for is around $7.5 million before punitive damages. Included in the article is several photos, including of a bathtub, I couldn't tell if it was David's tub or the yellow Teletubby's after a shower, but the condo board claims it is David's. It also claims several strange devices were kept in his apartment, including both arcade and fortune telling machines. Between this and the mess I take it net worth doesn't change the way magicians live. |

Speak for yourself about how people live. If you do things like that then you can say that. Certainly not all do and you should stop speaking as if they do. All we know for certain apparently is YOU live like that.

Saw that. It's crazy. And based on what I read, it's shameful.

This whole topic seems like it has nothing to do with magic , so maybe move it to the off-topic forum "Not very magical, still..." ?
Anyone who committed the kind of destructive property neglect that Copperfield is alleged to have committed (I'm not saying he did or didn't ... that's for a civil court to decide) would be at fault , but in this case the fact that David Copperfield is a magician has no bearing on the legal dispute with his condo board. So, for me, this is "Not very magical ..." |
