I was watching one of Craig Petty's youtube video's recently where he highlighted the Ultimate Coin Bag. First it does look like a great prop which helps in performing some very visual magic.
However compared to say a quiver purse or a coin box the bag does look very proppy to me which isn't a problem if it can be examined which I presume the ultimate coin bag can't be. My question is for those that do perform with it do spectators want to examine the bag especially if your performing for friends rather than at a paid gig as the two are not the same ? |

The Quiver purse really isn't examinable either.

Due to those two qualities I don't think a spectator would ask to see it if used in a subtle way, or at least when I use mine I've never had a spectator ask to look at it afterwards. The coin bag looks great and it looks like you can do some great magic with it but I'm not sure if it screams gimmick or not. |

See "Foreign Exchange" routine by James Lewis:
