Looking for ideas to make/build a card rise system to work within a softback book measuring 7 1/2 W x 9 1/2 H and contains 354 pages making for a 1 inch depth.
I would be willing to hollow out some of the pages to make it work. The card size would be regular bicycle and must be able to remove it from the book after it rises. Open to electronic suggestions that would fit also. |

Do you know the basic set up and method for The Haunted Deck of Cards? I would build that into a book. Simple, effective. Usually a haunted pack is set up to have 3 cards "rise" (or slide out from) the pack , but you could build it for just one.
If the spectator is holding the book up above their head ,what if you built a McBride "Kundalini Rising" gimmick into the book ? The card would rise out of the book while the spectator is holding it. Another approach might be the music box card rise method, built into a book. |

There are a couple of card rise from book routines in Dan Harlan's Tarbell series.
