The depth of the Marseille deck has been blowing my mind. Even my personal readings to myself have such depth. Tarot is real mentalism!

This season I used a Palm Reading to lead into a Miss Cleo Tarot Reading and finished with a Pendulum if needed.

Is a Miss Cleo Tarot Reading just a reading using her deck? Or did you channel the spirit of Miss Cleo and have her deliver the reading through you?

A little of both.

Years ago, a friend of mine who knew I did magic, asked if I'd do Tarot Reading for a company picnic. I had a James Bond tarot deck (They came out as promo item with the "Live and Let Die" film. They had 007 on the card backs).
I told him I'd do it as a joke...give half assed/humorous readings. Thought it's be good for improv practice. And he was going to pay me $200. He agreed. A week before the picnic, two women on the planning committee heard about me and went to their HR department. Filed a complaint about Satanism and playing with black magic. So they cancelled me...but still paid me.

Incidentally, the James Bond Tarot is popularly known as the Witches' Tarot and, when it's available, no longer has that "007" back design
It was the deck most commonly used for the packet trick, "Bewildered in Tarot" It's a great looking deck, very eerie designs, but only major arcana if I recall correctly. Ten of swords was just ten swords against a dark background, not embedded in some guy's back |

I just picked up the Tarot Del Toro, and I love the art and the unboxing experience, but the cards themselves have that game card type coating, rather than any linen finish or anything which makes shuffling and spreading kind of a pain. Was hoping to use these in my work but alas, the just don't handle well at all.

I'd forgotten I used to have a line in college where I'd tell a girl I could read palms. Then I'd take her hand look at it, and tell her "You'll meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger." Then tell her "I"m tall, when it's dark I'm handsome, and boy am I strange!"
As you may have guessed, I did not get a lot of dates....

I have recently picked up the Lifeline Tarot from Artisan Tarot, and I highly recommend it for our use. Simple line drawings of the cards, black and white. Evocative in their own right. Back design busy enough that they can be m*r*ed and not noticed, and bridge sized so that they're easily carried and the added benefit of that size being sleights and palming are possible. I generally carry a bridge sized major arcana with me in my pocket as EDC, so it's nice to have another option. Would love more bridge or poker sized decks honestly.
