I performed a resturant gig a few nights ago. For the first time I threw in the stop light cards. I was amazed of the reaction this simple trick gets. Sometimes we over look the simple.

We almost always overlook the simple. No matter the effort, very hard to reinvent yourself as a layperson. It is the rare trick that is equally appreciated by magicians and laymen. And many of us (myself certainly included) perform partly to demonstrate our mastery of something or something that we enjoy watching and are dissapointed by much entertaining skill but how little technical skill it takes to entertain laymen. My opinion at any rate
