Greetings all,

I’ve read a thread somewhere at sometime about the various versions of Vernon’s book of magic. I for the life of me cannot find this thread. What are the pluses and minuses of the various versions out there? If you know where the extensive thread is I speak about, some guidance there would be helpful,

Cheers

The original Harry Stanley version is the one to get. It's a black pebbled hardcover. The paper quality and photos are superb. Prices for this book have dropped recently, so now is the time to obtain a copy. Most copies are missing the dustjackets, and any copy you see now with a dustjacket is fairly rare. The dustjacket is usually in bad shape.

Supreme later reprinted this book with a blue dustjacket. Photo and paper quality went down a notch. Finally, the third version was published by L & L in a slightly larger size. The photos are good, but not as crisp as the Stanley edition.
