Another peak wallet comes onto the market but this looks really fascinating

https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/mental......k-wallet

It says it works in less than a second.

* No mirrors
* No magnets
* No privacy screens
* No backwards reading
* No lighting concerns
* No fragile threads

A large crystal-clear viewing window makes the peek easy to see in any environment. Multiple peeks are taught, and they all allow you to get the information in less than a second—even in low lighting conditions. Their eyes can be glued to the wallet, and they'll still never suspect a thing.

If it is just hiding behind the folded bill it not very fooling as that is the first thing I would want to see as a spectator. Also the awkward reaching into the back pocket seems weird too. May be a great product but not sold by the video.

It might take less than a second to activate the peek, but nobody can read and process the peek in less than a second, nor would they want to risk it. Let's see how the peek actually looks.

They show the performer showing all sides of the wallet, almost insinuating that that's the moment of the peek - but I highly doubt it. They also show the performer holding a folded bill a couple of times, it seems like you'll have to remove some money to get the peek, which is super restrictive presentationally-wise.

Any chance the creator or a dealer can let us know more info about the peek, what it looks like, and what we might have to do to accomplish it (bring a bill into play, etc)? Otherwise, how are we to know why this is better than any other peek wallet? I can think of at least 2 other slim peek wallets that have the same selling features.

You don't have to remove the money to see the peek.

In the advertisement, it mentions no magnets. So, we should be able to rightly assume that the method is different than Blink/Blink 2. But the alternative might be gravity or a hinge, which doesn't really excite me due to the angle limitations. The extra leather swatch beneath the folded bills looks to be the peek area but that means that the entire section needs to move in some manner.... Oh well, I guess we'll all find out soon enough Smile

Just bought as I have lots of Tony’s quality leather. Having seen the downloads all moves are motivated an Occams Razor approach. I suspect this will became a professionals peek wallet of choice. I look forward to seeing the wallet in the flesh.

If spectators reacting positively is annoying to you, why are you a magician?

It looks nice and I imagine the quality is great but I'm not a fan of a money clip attached to a wallet as to me that makes no sense as the purpose of a wallet is to carry cash.

A number of modern slimline wallets have a money clips, because the wallet pockets are designed to only hold credit cards.

Vid showing two performances of Greek Peek Wallet in action, and again I ask - what is new here? Peek mechanics look exactly like the Shelby Wallet.

Maybe it is, but such design is not at all popular where I live in. I've never seen one of my friends or family use a money clip, nor have I seen it being displayed for sale in a mall or a wallet specialty shop. Maybe it will become popular in the future, who knows, but as of today the audience at least in my area will see it as a kind of a novelty wallet.

Well, well, well.......who would have guessed it - yet another peek wallet has been released. Smile

Yet another 'toy for the boys', to sit and gather dust, alongside the pile of countless other "my new every day carry" wallets that have been chucked into the drawer and forgotten about.

Regarding the ad copy. NO Mr. Antoniou - your wallet will not make people "look like an expert mind-reader within minutes" - you are talking utter BS. That particular skill takes many months of study - and gaining the experience of performing Mentalism out there in the real world. However, it will make you look like a Magician that needs a prop, in order to covertly see what someone has written. An 'expert mind-reader' learns a centre tear; or a convincing business card peek; neither of which are reliant upon some dodgy-looking gimmicked wallet. To be blunt, if you can't be bothered learning these relatively simple techniques, please stick to your magic cards and sponge balls guys - and show the Art of Mentalism some respect, by not trying to be a Mentalist.

As an aside, as I recently mentioned on a post within the Mentalism section, I have worked with other performers who have used this type of flim-flam - and openly heard people say "it's something to do with that wallet". Our audiences quite honestly aren't as stupid, or naive, as many performers may think.

As for the wallet itself. As alluded to above, who would carry something like this, only to have currency held within the clip, rather than inside the wallet? Smile

Also, why are you using U.S. paper Dollar Bills Mr. Antoniou, when UK notes are now polymer/plastic?

If you are a Magician that is thinking about coming over to the Mentalism genre of our Art, then great. It's a superb avenue for improving your presentation; learning various audience management techniques; and understanding the importance of effect over method, etc. However, please be prepared to give it the respect it deserves. Learn Mentalism skills correctly.......instead of being reliant upon gimmicked cr@p like this.

Each to their own, I'm sure the quality is great and it works like a dream but a wallet with a money clip isn't like a regular wallet even if there are a few of them on the market now....so it's not for me personally.

They might suspect the wallet because it's in play. If all you use is a billet, some will assume you somehow saw what they wrote. There's no way around it, people will make assumptions/take logical guesses. It doesn't mean the method is bad. Do you disagree? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this if you're willing to share.

Why does the cash have to be inside the wallet? Because that's what you're used to? I suppose if you're in a country that has paper money, it might damage the bills - going in and out of your pocket - but here we have polymer notes so I don't mind if my cash is held in a clip on the outside.
