I received The Lost Chair today.

Packaged well and tastefully wrapped in a linen cloth. The wood itself is very natural looking. It doesn't appear to be 'manufactured' in any way that makes me ask questions - it literally looks like two hunks of a rocking chair. No caps. No drills. No cuts.

The prop performs exactly as advertised. It's balanced for a time before the top tumbles off of the bottom.

Here's how much time there can be. As I was eating my dinner, watching a podcast - I set up the prop. I was paying attention to the show about a minute later when the pieces toppled over and actually startled me. There's a subtle but very provocative performance hint there.

I especially like the idea that this item won't be found online or in stores.

Completely, totally worth the purchase - marking my most expensive collected magic item yet.

Thank you for bringing up that point - until now I have not thought about that...
But then again I have never thought about the workings of "Bone of the Elders" either - should I check if it is still working (which I haven't done in quite a while)...?

And please realize this is not criticism of your work... I think explaining your prop's workings to your customers will actually reinforce your genius. There are collectors who just collect magic instructrions, diagrams, and illustrations. And if you just publish the workings to YOUR BUYERS, everything should remain within the magic community. Of course, there's no way to guarantee this secrecy, but look to Professor BC who has sold his pieces to the magic community for years and his fans have been loyal in keeping his works in the shadows.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Chris is a lovely chap Oz, worth popping him an e-mail to ask the question. He does promise a "lifetime of haunting" on the pdf and says that "if the spirit ever leaves and dies" just to e-mail him and he'll replace it. My haunted timbers are getting long in the tooth and are still working perfectly. I'm pretty certain I know how this works and it would take a lot to stop it working.

Tip of the hat to The Black Hart for bringing this delight to my attention. I contacted Chris immediately and discovered he is delightful too. I’m now patiently awaiting a treasure to add to my library of curiosities and can’t wait to startle my guests.

It'll startle you too! Every time I play with this I end up setting it, getting distracted by something and then jumping when it falls!!

I also couldn't resist this after reading all the glowing reviews. I just received mine as well. It arrived quickly to Canada. I'm happy to report this piece completely lives up to the praise it's been getting.

It's been said already, but I"ll say it again: this is a stunning and beautifully made piece. It really looks genuine in every way: two immaculately aged pieces of wood. It's completely self-contained and the attention to detail is incredible.

I've tested it several times and it works flawlessly each time.

Thank you Keith for bringing this to our attention, and thank you Chris for making this available to the community.

I have received mine also and can only echo what Bastien has said so well, as that has been my experience too. I would only add that to me the cost makes this an exceptional value in addition to it being a real treasure.
