Party City is going out of business after nearly 40 years, report says
Party City is closing all of its stores after nearly 40 years of business, according to a new report from CNN. The report, published Friday, said Party City CEO Barry Litwin told employees that the company is 'winding down' operations immediately.

Yikes. That's sad to read. Aside from balloons,Party City was one of those stores where a lot of inexpensive props could be picked up to be re-purposed as magic props.

I am going to miss the inexpensive, color separated candies sold for weddings. They are great for separation routines during the holidays. They are expensive to buy online through Amazon, etc. And I really don't want to spend time separating mixed bags by gloved hands.

The superhero stickers and cards were also very popular for routines. I definitely need to stock up on balloon cups for a couple routines.
