You probably know the card effect "Anniversary Waltz" by Doc Eason where two spectators sign two different cards and with a little bit of magic, the two cards merge together.
Or "Hula Fusion" impromptu version by Carl Andrews where two cards- one signed on the front, the other on the back fuse together. I am looking for such effects where the same is performed with coins. So far I have found two such effects with coins: - "Fusion Coins" by Michael Rubinstein: https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/close-......n-coins/ - "The Fate Coin" by Artisan Coin & Yao Junhao: https://tccmagic.com/products/fate-coin Does anyone know of any other effects like this? Preferably impromptu versions in which two un-gimmicked coins, for example two euros or two half dollars - one signed on the "head" side the other on the "tail" side - fused together. At the end you have a coin with two signatures that can be given to the spectator as a gift. |

Years ago there was a company in the UK that put out their version of Fusion. I approached them about my prior release, and they agreed to sell their version only in the UK, with UK coins. But that was over 10 years ago, so I don't remember who sold it or if they still manufacture it.

I think it was the Merchant of Magic, and the coin was the same but it used a different method - a magnet was involved.

If a magnet was involved it might have been like one of Eddie Gibson's "Coin Unique" sets. Normally they're used like a Scotch and Soda, but if the insert is placed backwards, it would look like a Fusion coin.

I came up with what I believe was probably a first-- in the mid eighties, "the Linking Coins."
Tannen's was marketing it for me. Coins would penetrate each other at 90 degrees, could be examined, and you could continue "linking and unlinking" different coins. I don't sell it any more. Just for reference. If anyone is aware of this being done before that, it would be interesting. |
