Does the Tenyo version of the Koornwinder car offer any additional benefits or improvements to the original?

The Tenyo version has a locking mechanism that essentially lets you turn the gaff on and off. Being a small plastic car looks like something you are more likely to find in a dollar store. Having said that I do have a fondness for the original and own both.

I prefer the Tenyo version because I can turn it off and on. I like being able to bring the car out and letting the volunteer roll it back and forth. The only way I would switch from the Tenyo version is if they made the same thing in the body of a Hot Wheels or Match Box car.

I have both as well. There's something to be said for the transparent version, that feels more home made.

The original Kornwinder car they are all based on looks like a small wooden toy car. I have it, the transparent one and Tenyo. There have been others…. Tannens made one called a car buggy and years ago one was available made from Lego.

I have a Tenyo version, but I don't recall which deal I got the clear plexiglass version.
