Just checked, coingaffs.com does seem to be down. So, not just you.

That splash screen shows up when the website URL has expired, or said URL is no longer in use and is listed "for sale".
Whether he forgot to pay his invoice to renew the URL, or intentionally shut down his website, as far as the Internet is concerned, the Schoolcraft website is simply gone.

This is a major problem with SaaS software (especially when created by small teams). In my experience (admittedly anecdotal but significant), the average life of these products is about a year.

What are you even talking about?
Are you suggesting he write his own sales site? Quote:

It's back up, but I don't really understand. Most of the catalog gaffs are not available, almost all of them in fact. What am I missing here?

He hasn't been keeping much "stock" lately, preferring to announce "drops" through his email list.
That ends up in a feeding frenzy that sells out of most items quickly. Quote:

One can sign up for Schoolcraft’s mailing list and be informed of his blast sales. Items sell very fast…like in seconds…so be prepared to pull the trigger quickly.

Isn’t that pretty much what Todd Lassen had switched to doing?

The problem with the “drops” from a buyer’s POV is that you really have to know what you want and hope those particular items are offered for sale when the drop occurs. Schoolcraft doesn’t necessarily “drop” every item shown on his site and the items he does “drop” sell very fast. I assume he is basically taking pre-orders on items he’s willing to make, which is nice from a seller’s POV but not necessarily a great way for buyers to shop.

Schoolcraft drops what Jamie knows most customers want; therefore it allows him to focus coin inventory.
Next Schoolcraft Supply Drop March 28, 5pm Pacific. I will have a beautiful Schoolcraft Kennedy 64 expanded shell set for sale soon. Exceptional shell fit and crisp reeding on the coins and shell. Watch for it. |

With Lassen gone, and Schoolcraft reduced to irregular on-a-whim bursts of limited manufacture, who’s left? Mark Mason? Roy Kueppers? Anyone else now?
In the clad world, with Johnson gone, are the only remaining options Tango and those Chinese makers who seem to have taken over the gaff coin market on Amazon?
