I'm almost there with CMH, and I'm thinking of getting Pinnacle. I'm wondering whether Pinnacle is signicantly harder than CMH, and if so, are there other rubberband tricks you would recommend that are intermediate in difficulty between the two?

Pinnacle is a longer routine...so it would take a bit longer to master...Especially with the instructions for Phase 2 (the most difficult move because of the way it is explained).
It's a great routine that you shouldn't hesitate to get, if you like the effect.

Pinnacle is a gem, IMO...I am SO glad I got this...plus, check out Dan Harlan's MAGIC WITH RUBBER BANDS DVD SET...3 DVDs with everything you'll EVER want to know about Rubber Band Magic. This is one site I found doing a search:

Pinnacle is great rubber band magic.
I personally do not really enjoy rubber band magic...so it isn't for me. But, if you like it, then pinnacle is a must!

Pinnacle looks like real magic. Practice it well until you can do the moves in your sleep -- that goes for CMH too. Then combine Pinnacle with CMH and you've got a great routine (do CMH with the ring and one band).

IMO, Pinnacle is slightly easier in terms of what your fingers need to do (sleight-wise), but more difficult in that it's longer and more involved in terms of phases. If you can do CMH, then Pinnacle is nothing to worry about.

I agree with Vinny. Ring Leader is a great routine. It extremely visual and impromptu. I was taught Ring Thing like a year ago and I don't really like it. A lot of my specs a very observant and once or twice they have caught the method. Antoher good one is missing link it can be seen here. http://magicvideodepot.com/view.php?a=v&t=387 . If your looking for a impromptu routine that really looks like the bands are linked this is by far the best I know of.

I bought the joining ($5.00 I think) and didn't really like it much. I think the Ring thing for $12.50 was better. I don't know the Pinnacle but want to.

I've also thought about getting Pinnacle but I remember reading a post once which said that the moves just seem unnatural. As in if you could really make a rubber band penetrate a ring, then you would never show it the way you do in Pinnacle.
After watching the demo I am really amazed at it. Even though the moves are really unnatural it still baffles me how the ring jumps onto the rubber band. For the spectators will it still be just as amazing? Hiro |

If anyone wants to see my latest rubberband penetration called "Liquid Band," PM me with your email address. I'll send a demo to you.
This effect is on my DVD, The Godfather, soon to be realeased. The effect is impromptu: a pen or pencil is placed between the rings of the bands that is held at the fingertips. The pencil is moved up and down, stretching the bands. Then the band penetrates the pencil. Looks like pure magic. I showed this effect to many magicians at the convention with very positive reactions. vinny |
