Thinking of making a purchase on this, but would like to know first if the chinese coin portion of the TUC has an actual hole, or if black art must be used in order to display that coin cleanly?
Or, maybe there is no hole at all, and I am assuming there is a hole (full or partial)! The video I've watched is too fuzzy to tell with certainty ![]()
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Nevermind, found the answer. I suppose it could be done either way. While there is a hole, it is not very deep, and much of the rest of the coin is black, so while many are casually aware of holes in chinese coins in a very general sense, I don't think it is a big deal. If one wants to be sure, wear a black shirt or perform on a black surface.
Of course, if the spectator thinks there's a hole in the coin, it can add to the mystery.
