Pressman Magic Set #2 and then I got #1 from the 1970's

I am probably the only one here who will name this Fisher Price Magic Show 1982 set that I got when I was, I think, either 6 or 7.! Apparently I was obsessed with watching Paul Daniels whenever he came on the TV and so my parents got me a set early.
A tad too early I think, as although I do remember playing with this, it wasn't something that I did for a long time.
Although looking at it, there's not really much to it so there's that!

Either way, I did learn how to slide the boxes into different positions after putting a ball or sponge rabbit inside the door.
So an item placed in the right side door would reappear from the left or middle door, all on account of my sliding the inside of the doors to different positions secretly from handles it the back.

Of course being so young I told everyone in my family how it worked end so I was never able to impress or trick anyone!!

In Colombia we had "El sombrero mágico de Gustavo Lorgia" but I never had it. My first trick was from the same Lorgia guy, some tricks that came when purchasing a box of Jell-O, but my first really magic learning system was a set of VHS from Juan Tamariz

Mine was an Adams Magic Kit from the 1970's. I remember it had a Chinese Rice Bowl set, and, having only read about it in Hay's "Amateur Magician's Handbook," I went looking for the hidden compartment with the air hole for the water!

Ed, look at my post from earlier and let me know if it looks familiar. It may not be the same one you had, but I bet you see a lot that brings back memories.

That's a little more involved than mine was. All I remember is; The Rice Bowls, an Animal Dial mind reading trick, a wand with shifting weights, so you could put it on the edge of a table with over 60% hanging off the edge, and I'm drawing a blank on the rest.

The Adams kit I got one mid-1960s Christmas had rice bowls, very small multiplying “billiard” balls, a small metal thumb tip (so us little kids could vanish lit cigarette butts?), cups and balls, the three shell game, possibly multiplying sponge bunnies, I think a finger chopper, maybe a vanishing coin in glass of water, pretty sure a coin in nest of boxes… but now it’s getting pretty hazy and uncertain.

I do recall a wand half filled with shifting sand, so after tilting it appropriately you could rest one end upon a tabletop with most of its length sticking out past the table’s edge — mostly unsupported, yet the wand wouldn’t fall.

All of that sounds very much like mine, except for the thumb tip.
