Let me know if anyone knows how to embed videos, I'll do that here
Unlock almost unlimited and incredibly powerful effects that will make you look like everything from a true mind reader to a body language expert, with almost 0 skill needed on your part besides showmanship! Full details here: https://thedailymagician.com/iris Here are the key features of iRis: - No apps - No shortcuts - No NFC Stickers - Borrowed phone - No WiFi or Bluetooth required - 100% examinable afterward, the spectator will find no trace of the method iRis allows you to perform the following mind-blowing and untraceable effects… The Notes Test: The spectator writes something on their notes app and then deletes the information. They make sure it is GONE, GONE. It’s not in the recently deleted, it’s not ‘shake to undo.’ That information is deleted. Only then do they hand you their phone. You’ve been nowhere near the spectator at this moment. When you get their phone, within 5 seconds, you’ll know exactly what they’re thinking of. And you can reveal it however you want. This effect is incredibly versatile and we’ll show you a whole bunch of ways you can reveal the information written down. For instance, you can have the spectator pick someone they know and draw their face and you guess the name once you see the face. You can have the spectator draw random lines on their notes and then show how they’ve actually drawn the very item they were thinking of. You can take a picture of the spectator holding an imaginary object and then draw the object they’re thinking of onto the photo itself. Really, any feature available in the notes app can be adapted to suit the type of effect you’re going for. The Google Maps Test: They go on Google Maps, zoom in to any place and remember it. They don’t type and search for anything, they simply remember it in their mind. They can then zoom all the way out, and hand you the phone. Within 5 seconds, you know the place they’re thinking of. The Internet Test: They go on any site—Wikipedia, the Magic Cafe, ESPN, any site with text will work—select any article and then highlight and remember a word. Even though they can then change the page, go to a different article, web page, whatever. Within 5 seconds of taking the phone, you’ll know what word they were thinking of. (If you don’t have WiFi you could even do this using their own notes app!) The Spotify Test: They load up Spotify, and skip tracks until they find one they like. They then skip through as many more tracks as they want and then hand you the phone. Within 5 seconds, you know the song they’re thinking of. Full details on all the effects and uses above! |

Sounds great. I think it will all depend on how practical the missing bit is but it does sound very promising.

This really is incredible so much so that I am almost sad it is out there. I saw this originally in a book 10 years ago and the fact it still works today is amazing enough. The guys at The Daily Magician credit this source and I think have been working with this idea nearly as long which shows as they have taken that idea and run with it in spades! The project is great and includes lots of ideas for that ‘missing bit’ which is super practical and totally logical and flies by. They show performance footage and break it down for you and then give lots of ideas for its use.
But just imagine you can have anyone take their iPhone and immediately launch into it nothing to do to their phone at all. And they can use their own apps, notes, photos, calendar, calculator, maps etc think of anything then destroy the evidence yet you can still get what you need. This little nugget of information is SO worth knowing and I am glad but also sad that The Daily Magician has shone a spotlight on it as I don’t want it to become common knowledge it is that good! All in all highly recommend. |

Just wanted to add this amazing review we got from Andy at The Jerx:
“This is one of the most exciting releases I’ve seen in a long time. … A brilliant, streamlined technique that earns my highest recommendation.” To get such high praise from someone like him really meant the world to us! Thank you to everyone who's supported the project! |

I bought this. Definitely a unique idea. Let's hope Apple keeps this functionality in long term.
I haven't tried it yet, but I could see it slaying. Some versions of it feel like there must be some technology trick, like the notes version, while others, like the Google Maps version, feel much more impressive. I would have liked more justification why you need to take their phone from them and not let them see what you're doing for a second, although depending on the method, sometimes it makes sense naturally, like the spotify version, and even when it doesn't, it shouldn't be too hard to come up with justification. |

With the notes test, does the spectator get asked to copy their word and then delete? Or just delete note and then delete from recently deleted folder?

It’s not relying on undoing typing if that’s what you’re getting at.

It doesn't rely on 'retrieving' that word through some procedure, if you get what I mean. Of course, you will learn that word, but not by reversing the steps the spectator took. |

How strong can this be? They go to something in their phone, you take their phone from them and tell them what they saw. It’s a straight line to the method i.e. you can somehow see what they saw. Surely that will mean an underwhelming reaction.

A billet peek? How strong can this be? They write something on a piece of paper, you take the paper from them and tell them what they wrote. It’s a straight line to the method i.e. you can somehow see what they wrote. Surely that will mean an underwhelming reaction.
Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? Madison |

Indeed I would say it is quite the opposite you use the spectators knowledge against them the more they know the more baffled they should be. With the notes version you can ask them to delete what they have written then say as an afterthought almost - go ahead delete the note as well just to make sure. Then as another add on you say oh yes go ahead and remove it from the recently deleted as well. No one can think you can get anything from that. Same with the google maps version they are scrolling away from their destination they haven’t typed anything in how can you be getting anything from that?
The using their phone part is totally justified they have some great ideas for using the notes app for the revelation. Or you take their phone to try and refind their destination on the map. It all makes sense. |

IMO a billet peek should be structured in a far more deceptive way with a logical disconnect. A good example would be name/place. There is a disconnect and no straight line to the method. Where is the logical disconnect with this? The nature of the medium being their phone, doesn't allow for it. |
