I've nothing whatsoever against new Magic per se. However, having a passion for the Art of Magic, I simply don't consider that this constant raft of new releases is doing anything to elevate it. In fact, it must often do quite the opposite, as new Magicians become disillusioned with buying cr@p - which let me say categorically, I'm not in any way saying that the Savant Deck is. The point I was making is that it's yet another fake pack of cards, being released to perform card tricks, when the Art is awash with enough bloody card tricks already. Look no further than the amount of ACAAN abominations released over the past few years. At the end of the day, I am entitled to an opinion - whether you, or others, agree or not. Afterall, isn't this a discussion forum - not a 'back-slapping club'.......although at times, I do wonder. Finally, as a lifelong Socialist, there would be less likelihood of me attending a KKK meeting than a magic club or convention.....and the chances of the latter two are zero these days!

No, we don't agree and although you have a right to your opinion and that this is a discussion thread, your points are directed in the wrong forum.
How many magicians does it take to change a lightbulb? Regardless, for magicians darkness is a time for d'lite.

Murphy's have added bonus videos to the tutorial page, except that they're...for the Atomic Deck! Lol. Hopefully they correct that soon!

Hi, for those who have used it for a while, do you find it more of a worker, or more of a clever idea for occasional use?

Anyone see the spelling error on the box cover? Pretty funny they didn’t catch it.

This passed me by because I am not really interested in gimmicked playing cards (other than 'non-playing card' decks) but an effect fits perfectly with my current offering and I can't think how to reproduce it otherwise. I love the fact that it can be used as a regular deck and I have total confidence in any collaboration between Craig and Lloyd.
My only slight regret is that 'refills' require buying the whole project again every time. I can easily understand decks without video instruction not being available but I wish that with products of this type, it was possible to buy a 4 or 5 deck package at reduced cost. Excited to have it in my 'inbox'. |

Good to know. I don't begrudge buying a good trick that has a simple solution if I can't figure it out. I love the Rainman effect (not to be confused with the one Lennart Green used to perform). I am completely fooled. I want it for something specific but this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gshk94Q7bHw is a very persuasive routine.

I have the deck, watched the tutorial a while ago, so can't recall off the top if Harry's last effect predicting the blackjack hand is covered in the tutorial - but seeing it got me wondering - anyone who's played blackjack knows that all face cards have a value of 10. Other than trying to convince someone differently - is there an elegant/ logical explanation of how to deal with a Jack, Queen, or King as one of the two cards?

Anyone have tips on how to prevent the bottom card of the top half from temporarily sticking to the top half when cutting? There’s a sort of vacuum effect sometimes.

Received my Savant Deck and had a good play with it. So, what do I think to my £30 deck of cards? ... OUTSTANDING, I love this; money very well spent. Even after watching the first video explaining how it worked, I had slight difficulty visualizing it because I have never used a deck of this type before.
I don't really agree that the deck is fully usable as a normal deck, nor that it would be worthwhile trying to 'make' another rather than buy one which brings me back to the point that I wish there had been a three deck option because the deck will get used for sure. Hours and hours of instructional and performance videos from Craig and Lloyd which beats watching Netflix any day. Great material that is totally mind-blowing but almost frustratingly easy because it is stronger than stuff I have spent tens of hours perfecting. I love it when I buy a magic product that lives up to every expectation and new ideas are already springing to mind. (Yes, Harry's blackjack finish is a bit contrived because the stack is no longer intact but there is much stronger material on the project such as 'psychic poker' anyway so, impressed and fooled that I was, I already think that I have a much stronger routine and I have only just got started). Highly recommended. |

All it takes is the purchase of one commonly available gaff deck and you can make up two perfect Savant decks. Dead easy and equal quality. It is up to you (of course!), but from my point of view, there is absolutely no difference between the original deck and the two extras that I have made. Having said all of that, I love this concept and am also very pleased with the purchase.

For UV Prediction, what brand UV ink and light pen has anyone used? Is the ink unnoticeable once it has dried?

Has anyone had a spectator begin riffle shuffle and then overhand shuffle the cards.
"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "
