So a couple of years ago I was in search of a set of linking rings, specifically Proline. Unable to get a hold of them, I ordered a set of rings from TCC. As luck would have it, several months later I was able to get a hold of Cliff Wiggs and I received my Prolines so I thought I'd post a comparison.
I've been working with rings for decades so I'm pretty comfortable comparing the two. The TCC are a decent set of aluminum rings. They are lightweight (of course) and the key is an appropriate size. They don't "clank", but their sound isn't rich. If sound isn't a concern for you, they are not a bad set of rings.
The Prolines are a whole different level. I now understand why people rave about them. I have no experience personally with Owen's so I can't comment. However, the Prolines sound like chimes. When the TCCs are dropped they sound like you expect two pieces of metal falling together. When the Prolines drop, they actually resonate.
One a 1-10 scale where that set we all got in our first magic kit is a 1 and the Prolines are a 10, I'd put the TCC's at an 8. They are good for a young magician who doesn't yet want to lay out a few hundred bucks for rings. If the sound of the rings is an important factor, step up to Prolines. THank you Cliff for such fine craftmanship.

Prolines are what, six or eight times more expensive than TCC?

If the TCC set is eight out of ten then I’d say that’s a no-brainer. Buy that one. In fact buy two or three sets of them, it’s still cheaper than Proline and when they get scratched up with years of use throw them out and use another set. You’re still ahead of the game.

I have the TCC Wonderful Rings and Michael Ammars rings. They are both very good. The Wonderful rings have the advantage of being light and ringing nicely. The Wonderfull rings come with a locking key ring that is a lot of fun to play with but they pop apart much too easily to be practical for me. I ordered a separate normal key ring.

I have 3 sets of Proline and an extensive set of TCC. TCC are really good except fir one important flaw - they are relatively weak and can be deformed by hand, with the joint being relatively lightly welded. If you have a stage routine that doesn't involve examination then they are perfect. If you do a lot of shows and have rings examined then I would be anxious for the rings integrity, particularly in the hands of rumbustious teenagers.
Proline are very strong, sound lovely, hand made so there can be small variation in diameter.

I wouldn't know, even though I paid Cliff Wiggs four years for a set. Always a new excuse when I email him. I've accepted that he stole my money and I'll never know what these rings are like. Don't ever send him money. Apparently, I'm not the only one he's taken money from and never sent the rings.
John knows!
