Well I did it. Did my first full ballooning gig the other day.
I had been including the octopus balloon as a giveaway in my birthday party show, thanks to Dan Harlan, but had never done a full ballooning gig. It went over great! They loved me. Have to admit it was a tremendous amount of work and sweat mastering the four or five twists that I mastered for the gig. I learned that balloons indeed do have a mind of their own! I fought with them every day for weeks to be able to impose my twisted will upon them! But in the end I got it down under my belt. My living room and kitchen became unlivable. Piles of balloon experiments EVERYWHERE!! I never considered that learning ballooning takes up so much space! And I don’t have a large house. But my grand kids were happy! They got to keep the results of my learning experiments. Even the guy who picks up my trash was happy. I’m sure some of those went to HIS grandkids, too! If there’s a demand I might take another gig if offered. And yes, I’ve got a LOT to learn. But at least it’s a start!

AWESOME!! I started busking a few weeks ago and it has been a huge success - My journey sounds a lot like yours, I had to start busking because I had so many balloons piling up around the house.

Yup. Couldn’t hardly walk through my house without tripping over balloons!
