I suspect Mr. Schneider would explain this trick in his book or on his site somewhere. It is a good example of his direct thinking and clear magical effects.

Cap & pence trick is marked by Johnson. There's another version - which is better in my opinion - produced by Roger Klause called 'Whisper'.

Mr. Pants:

The site you gave for the clip is Mr. Schneider's site. The Coin and Cone routine is not, however, explained on the site as far as I can tell. Neither is it the subject of any of the ebooks available. The routine originally appeared in "Al Schneider on Close Up" which was his second book; "AL Schneider on Coins" being the previous.

I'd suggest you contact Mr. Schneider through his site, perhaps he can help you find a write upof the routine.

Hi, AL just emailed me, so I just thought I'd let all you Schneider fans know he will be coming out with a DVD produced by L&L pretty soon. It will contain his version of the "Cone and Coins " routine. I'm as happy as a little girl!!!!

Johnny Thompson teaches the Nate Leipzig version of the Cap and Pence on volume 2 of his Commercial Classics of Magic videos.

You find the original version of the "Cone and Coins" routine in "The Leipzig Book" by Lewis Ganson. Look for "Leipzig´s Pride".
There are also descriptions in "Stars of MAGIC" by Georg Karger, and on the DVD/video "Johnny Thompson Commercial Classics of Magic Volume 2".

The routine Pants99 is mentioning above is nothing like Leipzig's Pride with the coins, cone and ashtray.

This is another routine of Al's. Go have a look on his website using the link Pants99 was good enough to provide.
