Whilst I saw the method immediately, I think that it is a wonderful presentation and I particularly like the 3rd phase. Nice thinking! If you don’t know the methodology then this would be, imho, a great buy.
Have you tried 'Up The Ante' yet?? The ultimate gambling demo....a self-working wonder! See the reviews here on the cafe.

I love the principle behind this (and some other interesting effects). If you do not know this principle (I have yet to come across the first layman who does) you do not stand a chance of discovering the method.
The suggestion of forgetting about the wallets and set the cards up in a deck, taking first cards with the (blue) deck face down and later from the deck face up, is a very good suggestion. For the third phase, I think, it requires a small adaptation of mixing the red and black face cards to create the red and black face up stack on the spot. To those in the know this will make sense.
Great trick, Liam!!

Just picked this up from BigBlindMedia, waiting for it to arrive. Would have been great as a download, but looks like a great effect.

Cheers!

Have used this successfully at the bar.

Bewildering reactions.

I truly believe that Liam goes into his attic or basement, opens a trunk, pulls out something he bought when he was 10 years old and breathes new life into it. The man is always reminding us that we stand on the shoulders of Giants!

I'd be happy if Alakazam would just ship my order containing this. Not sure why it takes them so long to ship orders in the US.

It takes longer now than it ever did shipping from the UK to the US. It usually take 5-6-7 days for US orders to ship. I think they only ship once a week (possibly Mondays - gets orders ready over the weekend and then ships) so if you order right after that day - you're waiting a while for the next batch of orders to get shipped. Then if you are on the east coast, it now takes the post office another week to get mail across the country. All of my orders take about 2 weeks now. From the UK it took 7-8 days total.

I've never ordered from Alakazam, but I understand they have a California warehouse that has product. When you order something from the U.K. website does it state if the thing ordered is in stock in the U.S.?

Good question. I have contacted Alakazam twice through their website asking if this is in stock in the U.S. and didn’t receive a response either time.
Check out my downloads on Penguin by searching my name on their website.

Guys, what kind of reactions are you getting from spectators with this one?

I really like the trick and the underlying principle, but I can’t help wondering whether, for at least some people, it might come across more like a math trick or a puzzle rather than something truly amazing.

I actually bought it a while ago because it looked fun, but I still haven’t performed it yet.

Also, a small nitpick: you don’t get the same phases/predictions as shown in the trailer. For example, I was unlucky—my Phase 2 and Phase 3 ended up having identical predictions (both were 4 red and 3 black), which makes it more likely that spectators will interpret it as some kind of mathematical principle.

I much prefer the structure in Liam’s trailer, where all three phases/predictions are different. Yes, once you understand the principle you can adjust things by adding the necessary cards, but that meant I had to make my own handwritten predictions. Honestly, that felt a bit disappointing—I would have preferred to use the fancy, printed ones that come with the trick.

I’ve had the same issue. I’m in California and it takes them at least a week to ship an item. I get orders from Vanishing Inc., which are coming from the same area of the state as Alakazam’s warehouse, in as little as two days. If Alakazam is only going to ship on certain days of the week, I wish they would state than when ordering. I don’t love the idea of a business that operates this inefficiently and it’s happened on multiple orders from them.

Here in CT, my orders from Penguin, Vanishing Inc and Alakazam are all much the same delivery time of around 1 week.

For some reason, when I order from Don's Magic & Books in MN, those orders are sent via Media Mail and arrive in around 3 days - not that I'm complaining!

Really like this effect, but plan to change it up a little and maybe write my predictions between phases once I "start to understand how the particpant's mind works"

My predictions were all different, but I still made my own handwritten ones. In Liam's lecture he actually said he preferred the handwritten route as it feels to the spectator that the outcome could be different each performance (which technically it can) rather than the same each time, which the printed cards suggest.

Well, if you got the pre-written handwritten ones then it also feels that the outcome will be the same no matter what. Clearly you’ve prepared them in advance. In that case I’d rather use fancy printed ones than my own poor handwriting lol. I did like the idea suggested here of writing predictions before each phase, as if you’re deciding based on the spectator you’re performing to.
However, having paid over 40 dollars for this trick I was certainly expecting varied predictions. For a trick that I have to remake myself I would not have paid 40+ dollars.

FINALLY got my package from Alakazam. This is such a cool principle that I had never known before. Love the effect! I've had it just a few hours and it is ready to go. I am adding it to the top and bottom of a "regular" deck I pull out. From there, I'm using double blank cards to write my predictions of what the spec will pick. I don’t think I'll write "tests" on the cards, but rather just write my prediction as it arises with each round. Overall, really happy with this purchase!
