That looks like a really nice EDC.

I just wanted to mention that I had a high-definition color print made at a specialty store and got that item to add to the gimmick.

I know this is an old thread, however I just received an email from Alakazam about this, does anyone have this that can tell if it is well made?

I myself have just ordered this..watched 3 reviews and all said the gimmick is very well made and gave glowing remarks generally.
Looking forward to receiving it.

Personally, I did not care how it looks when the bill unfolds and cascades down from the credit card. For me, it kind of telegraphs the method. You can see from the demo video how the clean-up is accomplished prior to handing out the bill. My opinion is subjective of course.

I love it. It’s very clever. It’s very well made. Always had amazing reactions with it.

If I disregarded every effect where on the trailer I can spot a clean-up, a load, a move or something similar I would probably directly disregard 95% of everything I see. What matters in my opinion is how the effect is perceived by the audience. But my opinion is obviously also subjective.

That's why an ice cream store has many different flavors besides vanilla and chocolate. You are right. I may give it a try, the effect, not the ice cream, and maybe my opinion will change.

I’d try the ice cream as well if there was a store near me! Oh well… might need to drive a bit! Smile

Its incredibly well made and works like butter. Ive been using it for a while now and have zero complaints. Theres no issue with clean up, just like any other effect practice practice practice. Its a blast to do as your paying with a card and then think hey
I'd rather not pay the CC fee so instead BAM I'll use cash. It really is fun and effective to use. So theres that.

It looks like it works with polymer notes like the Australian notes, but has anyone used it with these?

Lots of fun handlings for this one, I like to flick it. I also stuck a penny to the back of the bill to make it open smoother.

Oh… interesting! But you can’t hand out the bill than, can you?

I have it and I’m actually wondering whether it doesn’t work BETTER with polymer notes… I don’t remember what the instructions said but would be curious to know if someone tried with Polymer?

Why would you hand the audience YOUR banknote that you’ve just generated using YOUR credit card?
You show it to them on both sides and then put it back in your pocket, just as you would with any other banknote.

Let the audience’s imagination do the magic, not the object itself.

I’m asking because 1) with the original version you just CAN and 2) a lot of people actually ask to see the bill. Of course you can say no but if I can give something to be examined I always prefer that option.

Because your audience will believe that the bill is in some way gimmicked or hiding something that allowed what to happen, happen. Allowing them to see (examine) the bill is normal and further intrigue and fool them. The subtle gesture of just handing it to them after, is a subconscious and indirect way of saying here examine it. They will naturally take it, look at it before you having it returned. You letting the audience use their imagination as you said, their imagination is trying to work out how it was done. They will satisfy themselves accepting it was somehow something to do with the bill. So let us take the credit… not the object itself.

Just received this and watched half of the tutorial.
Unless I'm mistaken you CAN give the note out for examination.
Also I am blown away by the quality and ingenuity of the gimmick...so well made and durable...genius design.

Yes you can give the bill out - the gimmick holds the bill in place but then detaches from the bill when action complete.
