It doesn’t sound like anything chat-gpt 5 can’t do/ build tbh. You can ask it to build you an app that does those things. Because of that, and based off of the rate of progression of AI… you’ll never be able to sell this for more than a few dollars.

I did play around with chat gpt to make shortcuts, but it doesn’t quite be perfect even after multiple prompts. Always better to purchase a pre made tool from a reputed creator like Joshua rather than try and fiddle one yourself. If everyone could just use chat gpt and create apps, then we wouldn’t be having app creators at all.

I don’t think you’re grasping how good Chat gpt-5 (which just came out) is vs 4. And in 2 years when 6 comes out, how much exponentially better it will be than 5. Developers are cooked.

We are 2 years away from It giving you better ideas for a magic app than you can come up with and then coding it for you at the same level as the top coders in the world.

I can PROMISE you that this system can do MANY, MANY things that ChatGPT will NEVER be able to do! I've seen the BTS and spoke with Chris about it many nights. It's hands down one of the most amazing things I've witnessed and at the same time, also scared of just how good it is!

When they told me how much they were selling it for (which is not cheap), I immediately had no question whatsoever about WHY they went with such a high number.

This system isn't going to be for everyone. Which is a GOOD thing!

I'm part of the Facebook group and I still don't understand what the app does. I gather it's shortcut based.

Paying $1200 for an app? That’s wild. I honestly don’t get how people justify spending that much on something they’ll hardly ever use, with zero return on investment.

Very true. However there are also those who will use such a tool professionally and find it to be excellent value for money. If you’re not one of those people then fine - you just don’t buy. It is very limited in terms of licenses anyway, to add exclusivity value to those who see how this can enhance their act.

Yeah, it was pretty surprising to hear that Joshua who was one of the main developers, has stepped down. Plus, the app does borderline go against Apple’s EULA, so there’s a good chance Apple might shut it down soon. It’d be a real letdown to invest so much money into an app only for it to disappear later.

Sounds like you're one of those people. Did you get this? or are do you just sound like you're talking down to others? If neither, thanks for your "just don't buy it" advice.

Can anyone give a basic summary of what you can do with this? All the things I’ve seen on Facebook have just seemed like they are trying to create hype and exclusivity. Based on the comments here too, it seems like perhaps it gives you complete access to a spectator’s phone, hence the ethical/legality questions. A few people in this thread seem like they have an idea of what it does, but speak vaguely about it.

At least put in the effort to draft your own reply instead of letting AI do it for you. That just makes it even more obvious Smile

I also know just as far as the ad copy goes. In essence, it’s a shortcut that can be installed on a spectator’s phone using NFC, shortlink, or any other method. This shortcut creates a pathway to your phone and utilizes AI systems to deep learn their pictures, contacts, locations, essentially scanning the entire phone and providing you with data that you’d find useful. For instance, you can discover their last visited location, the name of their pet, even specific details like the breed, color, and so on. Of course, you can also use it for peeking, making predictions, and various other purposes.

Is it cool, absolutely! But is it worth spending $1200? Imo nope. Too much hype and fomo for many.

But that being said, I really have to appreciate the effort and brains that have gone into developing this incredible tool, kudos to the team behind it!
