An eye-catching custom deck with shiny green foil and tiny animated figures

I've been a fan of the TCC Fashion series of custom playing cards since they began releasing them on a regular basis a year or two ago. The goal of this series is to showcase innovative features of playing cards. The latest entry in the series is called Exit Playing Cards, and is another example of a playful and eye-catching deck of cards.

This deck was released at the 2025 China Cardistry Convention that was held recently in Shanghai, China, from August 1-3, 2025, a big event that was attended by around 200 cardists, and featured many big names from the cardistry and playing cards communities. Being one of the event co-sponsors, TCC released several decks to celebrate, including the Exit deck, and it's now being made available to the general public.



The tuck box immediately grabs your attention, with vibrant green foil, and pointing arrows. And the chain of tiny figures on the lid gives a hint of the animation that we'll find inside.



The Exit deck has been described as a crowd favourite at the convention, and it's not hard to see why, given the striking features built into it. The bold design of the card backs will be especially welcomed by cardists.



The signature Ace of Spades introduces us to the main concept behind the deck: a figure running for the exit.



All the indices are oversized, and the graphic design and style used for the court cards has been engineered to complement the card backs nicely.



I've always loved the novelty of playing cards that incorporate flip-book animation, and that's exactly what we find here. When riffling the cards with your thumb, tiny figures hidden in the indices card come to life and produce a running animation.





And let's not forget the shiny green foil on the card faces and backs. This creates a whole new look when light shines on it from different angles, and even reveals touches of gold. And it especially looks amazing under UV light.



The two Jokers complement each other well, and match the style of the rest of the deck.



But perhaps this deck will be most at home in the hands of card flourishers, who will enjoy coming up with ways to be creative with the back design.





Besides the standard version of the deck, a gilded version with green edging is also available.



Once again the TCC Fashion series has produced something dazzling and different. The Exit deck won't be for everyone, but those who are drawn to its flashy and bold style will find a lot to like about it.
