This is my take on the Fast and Loose game, ive played with a few different presentations and routines but this is my current favourite.

Some nice touches, "you rancid man". Your last move was bolder than I like to do. She also didn't notice that one of the loops was in fact a knot

It’s not likely that non-magicians will notice the discrepancies. You might , however, get an endless chain without a clasp, it’s a little distracting. Christopher Manos sells a nice ball chain on his website in the books and tricks section.

Nicholas whilst I take on board what you are saying, I've been using that chain for decades and not once has anyone commented on the clasp to say it's distracting. I did check out Chrstopher's website but as he's not based in the UK it's not practical to order from him due to shipping fees. However if I do find a chain that I like then perhaps I will make the change as you suggested.

I just use ordinary fine chain that you find in hardware shops and make a wire loop, soldered, as the joining link. It's barely visible
I don't think the loop/knot discrepancy gets noticed, but people do think that it matters where you pull the chain from, so except in an emergency, I wouldn't want to pull on a diagonal. Though I appreciate the benefit of doing so

I used to think that way too Jolyonjenkins but in practice and done live the spectators don't realise, plus depending on what they say you don't always have to pull from the diagonal.

That's interesting to hear. I think the way you pulled it from very near the perimeter helped a lot
