Two custom decks of playing cards inspired by the Louvre's Venus de Milo

The TCC Fashion series of custom playing cards first hit the market about two years ago, and they've been having regular releases ever sins. The aim of playing card maker TCC in producing this series is to showcase innovative features of playing cards. The newest entry in the series is a pair of decks inspired by the Louvre's famous Venus de Milo:

The tuck boxes are striking feature of both decks, and they feature the Venus de Milo in a silhouette profile that is accentuated with embossing and foil, which helps capture a sense of the artistic sculpture that is the inspiration behind these playing cards.

The design of the card backs combine elements drawn from spiral scrolls and the acanthus plant. But what really helps elevate the look of the cards themselves is that metallic foil has been used on both the faces and backs of the card, for added luxury and looks in keeping with a work of art.

For the court cards, Venus is accompanied by 11 other Olympian deities, depicted with beautiful lines and surrounded with ornate patterns. The indices and pips are also heavily customized and incorporate decorative floral designs.

A gilded version of each deck is also available in a limited edition (only 200 of each). These add an extra layer of luxury to the playing cards by providing luxurious gilded edges - gold for the Platinum deck, and holographic silver for the Onyx deck. They also add a numbered custom seal on the tuck box.









These lovely decks will especially appeal to collectors who are drawn to classical sculpture and mythology, or simply flashy good looks.
