Thanks GypsyPirate! Smile

dr chutney, actually, that was what I implied...

The movies have also taught us that...

Regardless of the country of a monster's origin, it will eventually attack the country the film was made in...

Take for instance, Godzilla...

If your Village is surrounded by unspeakable Monsters, in an emergency need of medicine from outside towns, send a blind girl to go get it... She'll be fine...

Here's one from Alien vs. Predator, which I saw today. Despite the fact that nasty alien creatures attack from behind, without warning, wearing suits that make them invisible, don't give a darn about your life one way or another, and have killed those of your friends that the other nasty alien creatures didn't get...

once you decide you want to be their friend, they'll approach you visible, and stand there threateningly long enough for you to make signs of peace.

Popcorn or nachos and a large soda will cost as much as an entree in a modest restaurant.

That split screen or picture in picture is very cool when used in real life. Also closed captioning.

You can run away from an explosion

despite the fact that our present military can hit targets out of the range of sight and not in a strait line, 200 years from now we will somehow lose this technology.

No matter the size difference, schoolyard bullies go down in one punch.

rocket launchers have massive recoil

people using marijuana for the first time will get high after one hit.

you can have explosions in space

the nice guy gets the girl

even in the most elite military units, there is always at least one guy who is fat and out of shape.

all cops must take personality tests so they will be paired with their exact opposite.

Laboratories have large open vats of acid positioned under the skylight.

Spaceships moving in a vacuum must bank for turns, and make a lot of noise.

The bad guys generally put their main computer not in a server room with controlled access, but hanging in an open atrium thirty stories above the fountains and abstract sculpture in the lobby. Access is by catwalks that lack guard rails.

Thin stone bridges crossing rivers of lava that have held for centuries will crumble in the final reel.

DNA is a fantasically colorful molecule. When examined by scientists on even a modest computer display, it rotates in three dimensions with music, revealing its secrets at a glance to the trained eye, while delighting the uninitiated with sensual pleasures. The key difference is always spotted in the first few seconds of analysis.

Large computers explode, or at least throw pyrotechnic displays, upon failure.

Yours,

Paul

What the movies have taught us is that...

Britney Spears can't act.

If you're in a fight with a much bigger guy, you will get pounded. . . . until he makes a derisive comment about your girlfriend/wife/girl of your dreams. Then you will have no problems beating him up.

If you're in a fight (again) and pinned to the floor, there is always a rock or metal bar in reach to clout someone over the head with.

You never, ever fumble a catch when it matters, though many times you almost do before recovering.

People who have been imprisoned wrongly for 30+ years are remarkably upbeat when they are let out to save the day. Never bitter!

Floppy discs can hold an enourmous amount of data.

All superheroes lise they're powers at some point, only for them to return.
