Early feedback:
The supplied Bic marker works perfectly. I also tried to use a black sharpie and it takes much longer to render and is not nearly as clear nor complete as the Bic. Additionally, I tried a regular ball point pen and that did not work at all. The Bic marker does leave some bleed through the top note to the second but that is just another reason to remove that page to glimpse the one below (with the copy). The thermal (copy) page does not adhere as tightly to the pad as the 2 above it so it is easy to remove and ditch it.

I ordered more Bic markers in different colors to see if other colors (not black) work as well. Should know tonight...

My only initial complaint is that I wish the post it pad had the removable adhesive across the long end (like real post it pads this size) and not the short end for consistency sake. I use the real post it notes all the time in my house and having these peel differently will likely raise some suspicion with my friends/relatives. Other than that so far so good...

As a follow-up. Green and Blue Bic markers worked well. The red marker was a bit blotchy looking, so I imagine most Bic colors can be made to work as well as black. I also tried an Expo dry erase marker (cause why not?) and it did not work at all.

There will be an announcement regarding all levels of Noted users soon. I think most likely will be early next week.

Saturnkk - the provided pen is what I have found to be consistent over many years of testing all available variations. Ballpoint will never work, as this is a chemical reaction.

Your occasional bleed on p2 will lessen when you break in the pen, as explained on the tutorial.

Great to hear that you are experimenting with other markers, and I am sure everyone appreciates your feedback.

I wasn’t planning on posting this, but a few people asked after seeing it today when I thought it would go unnoticed…
Noted is now back in stock, and there’s also a new version called Noted Square.
For those who haven’t come across it before, it’s an impression device disguised as a regular sticky note pad. It can be handled, left in full view, and nothing looks out of place.
What I like about it is how little there is to think about when you’re using it. No setup, no awkward moments, and it just fits into normal performance without drawing attention to itself.
The Square version is interesting. Same method, but with more space to work with - which opens up a few different directions. Longer thoughts, drawings, multiple pieces of information… that kind of thing.
Refills are also available now, which makes it a lot more practical if you’re actually using it regularly rather than saving it for specific moments.
Not going to say much more than that, but if you’re into this kind of thing it’s probably worth a look.

Will the exciting update for original pro users come in the announcement that’s being released in a few days, or is it separate from that?

This is seriously one of the best impression systems on the market and the larger size only makes it that much better! Really looking forward to getting mine.

I ordered. Unfortunately it cost 86 bucks with shipping to the US but I’d been wanting this a long time! I’m hoping Chris shares extra techniques or routines.
