Hi all! I am looking to find the origin of a move where a coin is hidden in fp on the palm up left hand. The right hand pretends to hold a coin at the fingertips on the left palm, which closes briefly (bringing the fp coin to the right fingertips), then opens to reveal the coin. Any help would be appreciated!

I believe the idea came from Chris Korn

Piggy backing off of Rick, Chris Korn performed it on his DVDs that he put out with Kohler Magic, Racial Korn and Extreme Korn. I’ve also heard it attributed to Michael Liptak, who Korn credits in his Liptak sighting effect. I’m 100% if it’s Korn or Liptak as I’ve heard it credited to both.

Considering "origin" rather than "credit," there is a Boston Box move I learned in the 60's that used this sequence to get a coin from the recess into the box
to get One head on right hand supply of coins. The empty box on the left finger tips is slid back to leave the coin on the left fingertips. The right hand apparently picks up a coin and deposits it into the Box. Actually, the left FP coin is flipped up into the right fingers and dropped a flowing, visual action. Also possible with a regular Box or any object with the coin underneath - even another coin. Learned this from Harry Schilling who said it was just "an advanced move." I have done it without the box too, but only as part of a Utility action. (fake take or put)

Interesting. Sounds like a type of flying shuttle pass. Very cool.
It seems that the move I referenced belongs to Chris Korn, and it appears on one of his dvd, perhaps earlier in notes. Still trying to pinpoint the date and original source. He does it in his Penguin lecture as well. I think it was in his Extreme Korn dvd from 2004, but it must have appeared earlier in print.

I use the production in performances. I learned it from Eric Jones' Metal DVD Vol. 1. Eric Jones credits the move to Chris Korn and calls it the Korn Production. By the way, I like your One Coin routine and intend to purchase. I see you use the move you are inquiring about. Good work all around.

Thanks. I actually contacted Chris who verified that it was his move, but unfortunately didn't tell me where it first appeared in print or on dvd.
