Why didn't I think of that? I found myself asking that question several times while watching this masterclass.

I wasn't really sure what to expect going in but I had in mind some new sleight or method of access. What I found was far better. A simple yet very potent concept that retains the beauty of Millards original Acidus while expanding the amount of information available to you.

Part of the core idea here I have played with before and learned from Jose Prager years ago as a drawing duplication. After watching this masterclass I realized I quit thinking too soon and Bill has taken his own ideas and turned Acidus Novus into a Swiss army knife. I love it, and am already thinking up many ways to use this.

I do believe this has solved for me the restriction issue with this type of peek. I know for many it is a non issue but it never quite set well for me. Now where before I saw restriction I see freedom.

The video itself is well done and everything is demonstrated and explained very clearly. You get several additional ideas from some well known names, routine ideas, and even a mini discussion on readings with a nice combo of numerology and a pendulum.

It's clear Bill put a lot of work and thought into this masterclass and has shown incredible generosity offering this as a gift to the community. Excellent work sir this really is fantastic thinking. Thank you again for allowing me a peek into your creative thoughts.

John, Thank you for your very thoughtful review. I'm glad you found value in the masterclass. I love your insight that AN4QVU turns Acidus Novus into a Swiss army knife. That's a great way to put it.

Thank you again for taking the time to post your thoughts on the thread. It is appreciated.

Earlier in the thread Nathan Alexander mentioned a 'coffee fund' to thank Stunninger for his generosity. Perhaps take a look at this thread pertaining to his Psychic Reading Wallet Card he offers. It is well worth its value and makes for a nice lead in for a billet routine.

I'm one of the lucky few who received the link to this video. It is a long watch packed with strong ideas and I will need to go through it again to take in everything that is taught.
In essence it is a method that lets you extract far more information than most of us are used to with AN.

Stunninger also goes deep into ways to justify the peek and shows how to create all the time you need to execute it without raising suspicion. With the amount of data you can pull from a single billet, you will be glad that the structure gives you space to do the peek calmly.

I have reached the age where reading glasses are part of reading minds. I always need to remind myself to put them on during the billet preparation. It feels odd to take the billet back and then put my glasses on for the peek. If you are in the same situation, the masterclass contains an unintentionally perfect justification for this as well.

On top of that you get an introduction to numerology, some thoughtful pendulum work and probably more layers that I missed during my rushed first viewing where I had to skip parts due to lack of time.

Bartelli,

Thank you for your review and for taking the time to post it here on the thread. Excellent point about the unintentional justification for putting reading glasses on. Even though I too wear glasses only for reading, I had not consciously made the connection that the handling itself provides a perfect justification for this, at the right time, for the right reason.

I'm delighted you found value in the masterclass, and thank you again for posting your thoughts here.

Thanks for sending the link Bill, I finally had time this afternoon to sit down and watch the Masterclass. It's filled with so much smart and useful information. The Four Quadrant View is extremely clever and adaptable to a variety of variations and presentations. And if you're familiar with Bill's past work, you know that the explanations are direct and insightful without any fluff or hyperbole. The simplicity is refreshing! Beyond the peek itself, as others have pointed out, there's a wealth of terrific thoughts and explanations. Thanks Bill for taking the time and effort to make this available!

Mr. Mindbender, delighted to hear you found the masterclass valuable! Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts.

You mentioned my past work. Recently I took all of my past releases and put them into a single video, resulting in a program that is three and a half hours long. I may release that at some point (with time stamps).

Thank you again for posting your thoughts here. It is appreciated.

Thank you for sharing this, Bill!

I am a ‘beginner’ in magic and mentalism, and my extent of Acidus Novus knowledge was the 11 minute video from Richard Osterlind on Penguin. Bill’s video was well done, easy to digest, and very informative. I felt like I was sitting at a table, having a casual conversation with Bill while watching this. It was relaxed, easy to follow, and more than helpful. Between the explanations, ideas, and routines shared, this masterclass was more than value packed. I appreciate Bill’s crediting to others who have shared their tips and insights with him. There wasn’t any unnecessary hype, or belabored explanations. Everything was straight and to the point, but in a relaxed manner. There are wonderful ideas to contemplate taken from this that I look forward to utilizing in the real world. Thank you to Bill and all those who helped contribute.

Stunninger was kind enough to email me the video, and while I have only watched about half so far these are my thoughts so far:

First: Why didn't I think of this? I've approached similar trains of thoughts, and then discarded them. What a fool I was!
Second: While I knew this was a variation of AN, I wasn't sure what to expect or if there were any additional moves or handlings I'd need to master. I'm happy to say that's not the case. As long as you can do AN, you can do this. The handling isn't the thing here, it's the information.
Which brings us to point Three: The information. With AN4QVU you can really get any information (as long as it can fit on the billet), but not just one bit, you can get multiple bits of information from one billet. While several ideas and plots are given, I'm sure if you're like me this will get your head turning and your notepad out. As I'm fond of minimal things to carry or keep on my person the idea of doing name and place or 4dt with a single billet is tantalizing.

I think for myself, this will be going into my work for one on one readings, or working with a couple. I've never really used AN, but have recently began to add it in to my tools, so this offering found me at the perfect time.

What Stunninger has gifted here is a fantastic handling for AN, with seemingly unlimited potential (of course the limits exist, such as amount of space on the billet etc) for presentation and story. It's so simple, yet so sneaky. This is the kind of mentalism I adore.

Thank you again for sharing this. Im looking forward to watching the rest tommorow.

Hi Chaz93,

Delighted to read your post, and very pleased you find value in the Masterclass. You mention you might use AN4QVU for one on one readings. That's an area where there is still a great deal of unexplored potential, and so much that can be done. I think there may be another entire Masterclass worth of material just on that application.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your thoughts on this thread. It is appreciated.

I'd be happy to send you anything I come up with regarding one-on-one readings, as I play with this. If I can contribute at all to this project or the community as a whole it would be my honor.

Bill graciously shared this with me and it was really clever!

I don't want to summarize the concept here, but that concept is very clever and required learning for anyone who uses Acidus Novus. I'm not sure I'll always use this technique/tool but I most certainly will use it and I most certainly am glad to have it in my AN toolbox.

It's a tool which will really get your creative juices flowing. Without getting too detailed I'll just say that the thoughts on drawing duplications especially intrigued me!

This is very well thought out, very well explained, has nice and clever contributions from others & is a worthy addition to the AN toolbox. Anyone who uses AN will be very happy to know about this!

First, gratitude to Bill for putting together this comprehensive video teaching the basics of and many ideas for his innovative approach to Acidus Novus.

Second, this is a versatile tool. Bill's idea will inspire completely different presentation themes for different performers.

Third, as others have noted in their reviews, there's a useful section on "Justifying the Gaze" -- especially good for those just starting out with AN.

Again, many thanks for your generosity, Bill!

I want to thank Stunninger for providing the AN4QVU Masterclass video and for Bill O'Connell for assembling the ideas presented. This certainly pushes the peek forward in what you can achieve without complicating the handling. I particularly liked how it can handle drawings, which is not normally done with AN.

For those who also are familiar with the Alexander Marsh Peek, the same concepts could apply there as well.

As others have said, the motivation for the gaze is wonderful, and I will definitely use it as I also need reading glasses to read minds. It will significantly enhance the presentation, while also providing misdirection.

The pendulum idea was also great.

Thank you for this gift!

Hi Darby,

Great to read your post, and very pleased you found the Masterclass of value.

You mentioned the handling taught pushes AN forward with what you can achieve without complicating the handling. I agree, and one of the key attributes of AN that I have always loved is how easy it is to do. Very deceptive, yet so easy. I still vividly remember seeing AN performed for the first time as a spectator and how fooled I was.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this thread, it is appreciated!

Thanks so much for sharing the video. For those of us who had wanted to use AN, but just couldn't do so, now will be able to use it with so much more than peeking a small amount of info. This breaks new ground in many ways. There is a great discussion on the size of billets, which is very important. I think this will inspire a whole new way of thinking about using lots of information from billets. I love peeks but this goes beyond deserving love. You could do a whole act with one billet, if you chose to do so.
This is the type of info that mentalists could have charged an inner circle almost whatever they asked for this.
So I thank you Bill, most sincerely, for sharing this with us!

Stunninger, thank you for sharing AN4QVU. I do believe that the other reviewers before me have already hit the highlights of this, making my praise redundant. Something that has not been said; your ability to view things from a different perspective and creating is inspiring.

Many of the billet routines I use are folded and switched or use unfolded billets. I have not used AN, I had a difficult time justifing (for myself) that the writing needed to be in only one area, a switch does not have that constraint. AN4QVU has now justified a use of AN for myself. I look forward with using it.

I especially enjoy the Q&A and the pendulum routines. And as I mentioned before, Stunninger's Psychic Reading Card is a perfect opening lead in.

Again, thank you for sharing this.

Hi countrymaven,

Thanks so much for your wonderful post! I'm delighted to read how enthusiastic you are about all that can be done with AN4QVU, from what is taught in the masterclass, as well as untapped potential. You wrote, "You could do a whole act with one billet, if you chose to do so." You see the potential! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it is very much appreciated.
