I don't have that video , but if they list Silkut as being taught on the video it should be what you need. The videos from L & L's "World's Greatest Magic" series that I have all contain both a performance and explanation of each effect listed, not performance-only.

Silkut is also in the book "My Latest Book" by Karrell Fox, page 110. (I have the book). Like most Foxy tricks the method is very streamlined and simple. You can purchase digital download of the book from Lybrary.com -

Sakamoto’s Cut and Restored Silk Handkerchief

Killer Cut

Silkut

are all more or less the same effect: a silk handkerchief is enclosed in a sheath of paper with the handkerchief corners sticking out of each end.
The paper (and presumably the handkerchief inside) is cut in half with scissors and each half is held apart. Then the halves of paper are placed back together and the handkerchief is withdrawn , having now been magically restored to one piece.

That is what the audience will see in each case. The methods are each slightly different. I would say the winner is Sakamoto’s Cut and Restored Silk , but it does require more preparation than Karrell Fox's simpler Silkut version. If you are a Genii subscriber, go into the archived issues section on the Genii website and look for the May 2018 issue , Jonathan Neal's column "Secrets Within Secrets" , where he thoroughly teaches how to make and perform Sakamoto’s Cut and Restored Silk Handkerchief. This is also found reprinted in Mr. Neal's e-book "The Genii Columns: 2018 -2020. Eleven Classic Effects For The Stage". (available from the author: jnwonderbiz[at]gmail[dot]com ). In introducing the effect , Jonathan Neal writes:

"This is, in my opinion, one of the great rarely seen tricks in cabaret magic. Invented by a Mr. Sakamoto who was a member of the Tokyo Amateur Magician’s Club in the 1920s, it was later popularized by Tenkai. But those of us of a slightly younger generation probably associate this with the wonderful magic of Dick and Joanne Gustafson. In fact, it was seeing Mr. Gustafson perform this in person around 1970, that made me want to do it."

I developed an effect where an assistant holds as large silk bundled in many reeds between their outstretched hands (Halloween setting)

I whack them with a sickle that cuts through all of the reeds, but the silks remains undamaged between the fingertips.

My wife cautioned against ever publishing it for fears someone would get hurt from inadequate practice or slip.
I agree, but note that the curved sickle gives more control than a sword, but either could cut off a person's arm.
