I'm considering a "run in" to multiplying bottles where "the bottle" is removed from a simple, gift type, box. The routine starts, the bottle disappears and is found back in the box. Could I have suggestions for a prop that could do this? Tora Magic's Surprise Box would probably do (Drawer box principle) if the box started fully open. I would rather have a more informal, cardboard, tube, box or bag. I want the prop to be self contained (no body loads) and think a long box, with a deep lift off lid, a la Dove Pan, might fit the bill.

Anybody know of a suitable prop or design that would do this?

Ie
box opened to show bottle
Bottle removed - box clearly empty and closed
Box opened and bottle has returned

Thanks for any help

Use a set of multiplying bottles. Some sets have 3 and some have 4 if you know what I mean??

There is a clean simplicity to doing that, and is my current favoured option, probably from a simple paper gift bag. Tora magic have a repeat bottle production with an adapted drawer box which can be shown empty after each bottle removal. Just looks a bit "proppy" for my taste!
Any other prop solutions come to mind? Peter Scarlett has a lovely deck switch box which has a deck lying alongside a post it pad. A similar layout with a bottle and "glasses" could work.

Interesting creative challenge ... thinking ... thinking ...

I'm envisioning using a wine gift box , like this:

Does the bottle which re-appears in the box need to be a full bottle or could it be a sh _ l _ feke ?
The straw padding could conceal the feke underneath, with the first bottle resting on top of it at the start ... it would need some simple mechanism for rotating it in the box , so the feke starts face down, and then rotates to face-up, you know what I mean?

Although , as I think about it, maybe the idea of using a classic drawer box would be a more straightforward approach, if you can find one that is the correct length to fit a wine bottle. (not sure about this one pictured below ... it's one that came up in an image search and sort of looks like a wine gift box). I suppose you could have one made at a custom-size to fit the wine bottle. I've seen plans for a drawer box. I don't believe it would be complicated for a competent wood worker to make one.

This one - https://www.amazon.ca/SUMAG-Production-M......9TX9VTSY -- appears to be 28 cm length (11 inches). I think most standard wine bottles are 12".

Thanks David for the thinking. The good news is that, as it is a run in for the Multiplying Bottles, they are not really bottles so removing a fraction of a set, followed by the rest is an option. My ideal functionality would be to open the box, remove a complete set, close the box and later open it to reveal another set/bottle, this way two sets would be introduced. I'm actually using Tom Stones introduction as a template - Bottle removed from container.....passe passe.....bottle "disappears" --> back in container, "bottle" removed and joins the fray. He uses a simple carrier bag, with no proof or display, relying on surprise and comedy. I'm hoping something a bit more convincing might be achievable.

I recall watching a video from years ago where the magician produced 50 (or more) bottles. After multiple rewatches, I was able to identify how they were reloading from behind the table even though the tubes never left sight. Frequently the "reload" was set on the table for a few seconds before reentering the revealing frenzy. Could a false bottom gift box be reloaded in a similar way? It strikes a gimicked gift bag could be used instead of the box.
