Has anyone opened up an MP3 Tech unit from Kerry Pollock? The main MP3 Tech unit is awkwardly shaped for how I like to use it - in a rack mounted system.

Has anyone opened one up? If you did, did the unit survive?

I would like to open up the MP3 Tech unit and see if the board and connectors can be remounted in a box that more easily rack mounts.

Also, if anybody knows where I can get an MP3 Tech unit to 'experiement' on? A trial 'surgery' might be the smartest option rather than potentially destoying my working unit!

I know. I know. I need to update my show sound control system, but the MP3 Tech and remotes were expensive when I purchased them and they still work great. Right now, I can't justify spending $1,000+ on a more up-to-date solution.
