Hi Guys
Over the years I've sold and shipped a lot of props mentalism etc from Canada to my US magic friends. I haven't posted anything for sale in a while and in my Canadian post office is a notice about how shipping anything nowadays to the US has changed and all the new forms etc to be filled out. As I'm retiring, I've got a lot of great stuff to sell off at really low prices (moving and need the room). Has anyone had any experience recently about cross border sales? I am nervous about anything going astray and don't want to list the price on the customs form for less than actual value. Would appreciate any input. Many thanks Gerry

Gerry,
Yep, postage fees just keep climbing it seems. I’m not sure how you feel about eBay, but I do know eBay sellers do get a good discount on the shipping. Of course you do have to pay ebay fees. Still, being able to reach a wider market on ebay might be worth it. I'm an ebay seller and do sometimes ship global and ebay does all the extra forms etc, so I don't know anything about those. Tom

Thank you Tom for your reply.
The challenge I have is that it seems that anything I send from Canada to my magic friends in the US may now be subject to duties and taxes etc. I was wondering how others have managed to get around this. Marking a shipment as a "gift" could be problematic for the recipient. I have a lot of items to sell at bargain basement prices, eg Book test cost $200, selling for $40 and much more. I just need the room and don't want to leave anything behind, however the new regulations seem to be more obstructive than helpful and I don't want any of my customers and friends in the US have to deal with paying duty etc. Thank you anyway Tom. Best Gerry
