I bought one on pre-order and received it last week. I had 2 of the previous model. One was a spare. This is a BIG upgrade. I love it. Smile

When they say it’s fully examinable… it really is?

you can hand out the coin and the sharpie. as he says that he is switching out the gimmick. The gimmick is put in play and removed. So the Gimmick is not examinable, but you can examine at beginning and end of routine. Smile

Ah thank you - so the pro version “looks” the same as the old version I guess? Mine still works really well, not sure I need more autonomy and additional delay options…

I think the biggest upgrade on this is one, my old unit broke after about 12 uses and I never got a solution for that. This is supposed to be a different type of battery that doesn’t break as easy. Secondary no putty/ tack and I have been handing spectators the gimmick cap. Perhaps a little bold, but the “guts” so to speak hide so much better than the other one and truly a brief moment in the spectators hands I think flies under the radar. This has been great so far and here’s to hoping this unit holds up!!

Haha really?! It must look different to the previous version then?! You definitely wouldn’t be able to hand out the cap from the previous version! Smile

Not that it matters to me that much though, there really is no heat on the cap in my opinion, and nobody ever asked me to see the cap or mentioned the cap in any way…

Yes I got this at Blackpool. I was reluctant as my original broke quite quickly. However fair play, when I mentioned that they gave me a good discount

This works very well. I imagine you could hand the cap out and it wouldn't get noticed, but why bother? The switch in the hand is very easy and leaves you clean. Wedding on Friday so will try this for the bride and groom after doing coinvexed

Worked perfectly at the wedding. As a note to myself, I will check that the new cover on the inside of the cap remains in situ. In my bag, it had attached to the magnet on the keyring. The groom picked the cap up to pass it back to me but didn't notice "the workings". But a good lesson to ensure it's still there. The foliage on the table blocks the view somewhat on the photo , but you can just see the glass over the cap.

Anyway, a big thumbs up from me !

Edit- oh the photo hasn't uploaded. Not sure why

No. It can withstand a casual glance, or you can ask the spectator to balance the coin on it themselves, and as long as they don't turn it over and look at the bottom, they won't notice anything odd. The cap isn't empty, so you can't turn it over and look into where the empty space would be, but the cap can absolutely be casually handled by a spectator because it doesn't feel any heavier than a regular sharpie cap.

Oh right, thanks a lot! Yes, so like the first version basically. Thank you!

The first version could not withstand this casual inspection because the bottom was somewhat convex and was very conspicuously weird in a way that's been fixed here.

Does the Pro version use a remote or do you need a phone to send the signal?

V1 was fantastic, v2 is even better. The look of the underside, the time custom time delay you can set, and the incredible routine that Henry shares that he's perfected over the years since v1. I won't do it any other way now.

Just killer. And so much fun.

Am I missing something here? The way I understand it, you apparently balance a coin on a Sharpie and then use your "powers" to make the coin fall at your command. But in the beginning the cap is examined by the audience via a switch with a regular cap. All good EXCEPT what happens after the coin falls... If I were a spectator watching around a table, I would want to examine everything a second time before the performer puts everything away. Examining the cap before the demonstration seems much less impressive than having the ability to do so afterwards with this type of demonstration. I know you can't accomplish the examination without orchestrating another switch, but to me it really dilutes the impact quite substantially.

No one ever asks or thinks to examine the cap at any point. I've been performing this for difficult audiences for years, and no one ever has any inclination whatsoever to inspect anything - if anything, they scrutinize the coin. There is zero heat on the marker or cap. It's the last thing they suspect.

Both Magnet-O Pro and Lip Balm by Sansmind allows you to balance a coin in the top of the Sharpie cap or lip balm and then be able to cause the coin to drop off the cap or lip balm while standing away at a distance whereas Lip Balm also has the additional feature of having a card spin . Do you think that additional ability adds to the routine and makes ir more interesting or is a bit too much and makes it look like a gimmicked magic trick?

The latter. I also think a tube of lip balm will draw much more scrutiny in general because its existence in the routine is much less well motivated.
