Any chance of reviving the special guest of honor thread? Speaking for myself this was a very enjoyable as well as informative addition. If they have a product they could showcase it in addition to taking questions and offering their knowledge as an incentive.

This is Steve’s call but it is very difficult to find a professional willing to spend a week on the Cafe.

A week is a huge ask. Why not make it a day? Announce it and have members send questions in a few days in advance.

Again, this is all Steve's call but a large number of members here will not see or read an announcement in time so it would be a waste. If we did get a popular person and opened up the questions a few days prior, it may be too cumbersome for the guest to read and reply to all of them in one day. Maybe they could be here for a couple of days. It's an idea of course.

Thanks. I don't know what the process was to secure a "Special Guest" in the past but it was done and successful for a number of years. It's at least worth a try instead of speculating that it's too diffult or cumbersome. Maybe, whomever, might like to do it for a day or two or.... Yes, it's Steve's call for sure.
I do revisit those posts and find them VERY informative.
