It might give another layer of deception when you ask the spectator what color is this deck and they say blue, then you pull out a red deck of cards, perform some card routines, then use the box in a ring routine to further add to the story of imagination/reality or something. Then switch the box to a red box and say that you've always had a red deck in a red box. (or switch both box and cards to the opposite)
Just a thought.

You’d be amazed to discover how many laypeople pay absolutely no attention to pulling a red deck out of a blue box. Only magicians and serious card players notice such things. Even the tiny percentage who might take note of it would not care. It doesn’t explain any of the magic that follows and by then they’ve forgotten all about it anyway.

There was a similar thing a while back called Vox or vox box or something. It's a great idea and works well, the problem I had was...it's a card box so didn't last long. Someone should make these out of plasticard or something super tough because it's an excellent illusion and very versatile.

That was my first thought: this screams fragile.
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

VoxBox by Magicsmith came out many many years ago. It’s can accomplish the same thing. Although it was primarily made to start empty, and then heard to rattle making an object seem to appear, then you “dump” it out into your hand and the rattle is gone.
Doing the routine in reverse will accomplish this same effect. I pulled out mine from the drawer and did it the first try. There were issues with the “rattle” getting hung up which is why it’s been in the drawer all these years. |

Seems like placing a set of heavy keys into a card box and shaking it around wouldn't do well for long on the card box.
Also I am dubious of the claim that 1. Place the object in the box 2. Spec takes the box and shakes it 3. Sound goes away 4. Item goes away There's gotta be something in between all this. |

Nice wallet etc. A few weeks later I got legit invoice from fedex for $45 I brought it to my local FedEx and sure enough they verified it. The magic dealer tried to tell me the $32 shipping was only good from UK to the states. What a ripoff. So when going international purchases watch out. It's up to the seller to pay the customs/import fees or throw them on the purchaser. |

Received mine today. Practically no time at all and the workings are down. Super easy. And, VERY well made. If you need to vanish a ring or coin, this is a beautiful way to do so. I think it would pass inspection and I would have no problem handing it to a spectator to hold.
Reminds very much of the Improved 21st Century Rattle Box by Craig Brooks. I do own one of these and it is a wonderful piece of magic. But, ultimately, when a spec sees it they know it is a magic device. One has to explain why they have a little wooden box with them. Gone Ring solves this. It is a card box. Your normal decks can be stored in this. It is extremely organic. My favorite part is not actually the sound (which is very convincing) but actually the feel. When shaking it feels like a ring or coin is bouncing around in the box. And thanks for getting me a red box as I requested! I know no guarantees were made about the color, but Magic and Cards came through. As well, the origami piece was cool! Thanks! I will store mine with a deck in it and in a plastic card case as I do my other decks. Hopefully, I can get a long life out of it. As I stated before, it is pricey for a cardboard box. But, it is a well designed, hand crafted, and beautiful piece of magic gimmicktry. |

I know some gimmicks (the newest edition of Extractor comes to mind) can be removed and placed into a new card box. Is that possible with this for when the time comes? It looks like a great device!

I don't want to even attempt disassembly until this wears out and I have no other option than to repair or repurchase. As it stands right now, it looks like I am holding a tuck box. I don't want to mess up that purity. |
